I've emailed Haibike about mine to see what they say, I know what it says on the website but will let you know what they come back with.

Is this even legal? if you buy a second-hand car the warranty is with the date of registration and the car not the owner of the car so I do not see why it should be any different for a bike as long as you prove when it was first brought.

+1 Komoot - Best one I've tried for a phone app by far only minor issue I found was it sometimes takes you on footpaths but it seems to be a common issue on the apps.
