So I’ve also updated my Levo 2022, no issues whatsoever during the process. The app shows firmware versions on all components but unfortunately it also reports “error 4” that is “motor not found“. At the same time MTCU is not throwing any errors and the motor seems to work correct. Any ideas?
you’re right and wrong at the same time. Yes, pro’s riding is very physical and yes they generally don’t care about comfort. But I’d doesn’t mean they don’t appreciate high quality suspension. They need tons of traction on high speeds so fine tuning is crucial. We should keep in mind they setup...
Anybody can feel the need for high performance, tuned suspension. It’s not a sin :). Yet only top racers will truly appreciate and make use of those small differences.
You can reuse the cable, but since you already look into this I believe it’s not a bad idea to do it all at one go. Of course if you feel it not needed you don’t have to.
If you want make sure you’ll get the job done use internal routing tool eg. this one. Any other brand will also do the trick.
All you need is a proper order
- push the cable into the frame just enough to let the seatpost out of the seat tube,
- take the seatpost out, leave the cable in the frame...
Correct. To add to that - companies don’t necessarily pick the best racers for their test programs, they need very good racers who can communicate their findings and give proper feedback and suggestions. It doesn’t have to be top 10 WC person.
This is exactly what you’ll get from Push or Mojo. But we should take it all with a grain of salt. Let‘s say damping (compression or rebound - doesn’t matter) is on tha scale from 1-100 (%-like). Now OOTB tunes will give you a range of eg. 15-45 for light tune, 30-60 for M and 40-70 for firm...
I did. I used to own Ohlins, BOS, Pushed Foxes, OOTB Fox, RS, Marzocchi. All had their strong and weak points, but with the right setup they all work nice (note - top tier dampers, entry level crap is crap no matter what logo you‘d put on it).
Re‘ prices - agreed, it’s madnesses. :(
Again, I’m truly happy that you like your suspension, but I don’t see how it proves it’s superiority (objectivity).
As an engineer I can appreciate good craftsmanship, but if you have top tier forks and shocks from any brand - you will be able to setup your suspension right.
And BTW - I like...
Nice explanation, obviously you’re happy with your purchas, but I don’t know if that’s enough to call one product superior to another.
It’s all down to a dialed setup - the rest is rider’s skills and personal preference. Some setup their suspension for comfort, other for high speed and big hit...
I have used cheap SuperB internal cable routing tool (It cost me close to $23).
Thanks to this I was able to cut SRAM hose close to the lever, so there will be no issues with fixing the Code for reuse/resell.
All went really smoothl, thanks all for sharing your experience and ideas for getting...
General comment on SAG - too much (25%-30% and more) might ruin your riding experience. Your fork will feel more plush at the very beginning of the stroke (superb small bump compliance), but your mid stroke (the spot where you spend majority of time when riding aggressively) will feel too high...
Hey,
I’m about to replace brakes in my Levo gen 3 (I prefer Shimano over SRAM). Any advice guys? Anything I should pay attention to with this internal routing?
I’d appreciate feedback from all of you who already went through this exercise.
Thanks, a.
I have the same ID on my Float X2 performance, but Factory series shocks have different tune, probably due to different circuits (HSC,LSC/HSR,LSR). Ruppia was already kind enough to share tune ID for factory shock - D9MP.
