Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

Had the chainstay replaced under warranty as well as the battery and motor and some other bits, which is a result because the motor was gritty and inconsistent and probably 4 months out of warranty. Definitely sticking with the Spesh brand now, especially the concept franchises as my nearest...

Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

Hope so, I got the occasional cracking noise but not very often, assumed it was the derailleur.

Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

I never resolved it no. It annoyed me so much I barely ride the Levo now since about 6 months when I got an Enduro. Fact, I've kinda gone off e bikes since owning the Enduro. I'm currently replacing all bearings on the levo as i write this. The cascade linkage has slipped a bearing and the big...

Levo Gen 3 Shifting rear bearing in link

Came to contribute and say thanks as I've found this during a bearing replacement. My cascade link has done the same, bearing was on an angle. I've used the retaining compound mentioned here. Will see if that helps. Bikes ridden poorly for a while so hoping this is why.

    Ebike slow?

Thanks both. My guess is bearings under load I cant think what else it might be. They spin freely on a work stand though. Tyres and wheels are heavy- DD and Hope Fortus 30, but I run these on my enduro and while they are slow rolling they don't feel so draggy that its a problem. The Levo for...

    Ebike slow?

Random one, and appreciate this may come across as a troll or half term post. Had my Gen 3 Levo for 2 years. I've gone back to leg powered bikes recently (a 2022 transition patrol @ 170/170mm and a 2022 Enduro @ 180/180mm). Similar builds across all 3 bikes, same tires and wheels. Still take...

Levo Gen 3 Suspension and Coil shocks for Gen 3 - Fox 38 vs Zeb

Just an opinion, its not like I'm riding a salmon with its tail flapping about everywhere its just got some flex in it that's all, there's nothing wrong with the bike. No secret they eat coil shocks is it. Further rides out on the Cascade link, it honestly just feels like you'd expect. Ramps...

Levo Gen 3 Suspension and Coil shocks for Gen 3 - Fox 38 vs Zeb

interesting ill have another read then. 550lbs (was on 500lbs before fitting the cascade)

Levo Gen 3 Suspension and Coil shocks for Gen 3 - Fox 38 vs Zeb

200lbs with an air shock due to max pressure limits is it not? I am normally a bit lighter and should drop some weight in the coming months Its the general feeling of slop in the rear end of the bike. Lateral movement/flex caused by the clevis. I think its noticeable to me since I bought a...

Levo Gen 3 Suspension and Coil shocks for Gen 3 - Fox 38 vs Zeb

Fitted the regular cascade today. Added a heavier coil spring while I was at it. Sits about 30% sag but I'm a bit heavier than normal currently (3kg above my normal 90). 550 spring. Noticed even more flex and slop now from the clevis design is that something others have experienced? Yet to...

Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

Don't suppose anyone's replaced the bearings on a gen 3 yet? The lower chainstay bearings that sit next to the motor (the 2 larger bearings in the entire set). How do I press them out with the internal routing pipes being in the way? It's a motor out job but can't get the bearing removal plates...

Levo Gen 3 Suspension and Coil shocks for Gen 3 - Fox 38 vs Zeb

Interesting comment What do you define as pace? Dyfi Bike Park, Whistler, Fort William? I'd not even consider taking the Levo to these places, I hope I wont get scorned for writing this but I don't think its a suitable bike for grown up riding. I think its a bike defined for average trail...

Levo Gen 3 Suspension and Coil shocks for Gen 3 - Fox 38 vs Zeb

It doesn't get close to coil like feel. The LSR can be opened up to keep the traction high (for an air shock) but it just doesn't get close to the feel of a coil. It's just an air shock with a big negative chamber. It also gets hot and ends up choppy on longer runs and after a couple of hours...

Levo Gen 3 Suspension and Coil shocks for Gen 3 - Fox 38 vs Zeb

So there are photos of the new 2023 RS Coil on a Levo Pro and a Stumpjumper Does this mean they are ok to use on this clevis mount now? Want to buy one, have one on my Patrol and its an excellent shock.

Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

Did anyone ever put the 160mm cascade link on (not the long shock) and care to share an opinion on it? Couple of my bearings are toast in the linkages. Ill either replace or go cascade. Aware of the weight limit

Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

Interesting thanks, I think it'll be worth replacing the bearings in the linkages after all then? Was going to grab a set of sealed NTN, SKF or FAG ill check those out. I dont remember the bike feeling like this when I got it but I had just come from a 2019 stumpjumper so was probably used to...

Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

Checked the wheels, not them. Swapped them round from the transition and still them same. All linkage mounts are torqued. Wondering if its the Sram derailleur mount now so going to replace that if needed, short of replacing the suspension bearings on a 9 month old bike I don't think there's...
