I just ordered a PL Carbon this week. I won't even be able to use all the power it already makes so a more powerful motor has no interest to me.

DJI could keep their present design and motor the same for 3 years and other brands still would not catch up. EMTB motor producers are generally very slow to update their motors if you haven't noticed.

I don't think they are clearing stock. The price in the US went down $1000 during the holidays but now it is back up to the original price. I know one guy called them and said he had been on holiday and when he got back the price had went back up and wanted the lower price and they said no.

I am not in a hurry so maybe the price will come down on the gen one bike which I want because the other brands that will get the Avonix motor will be way more expensive than the Amflow bikes.

This is convoluted and crazy, before you add an emtb to you stable just buy this kit and make your current bike an ebike that you can convert back to analog in 2 seconds: I did this and love it.

I am still a big fan of the Bimotal Elevate. I can blast up the mountain with it and blast down the hill on a 26lb carbon bike. I can either put the motor 3.3lbs in my back pack or just leave it on. Takes only seconds to do that. Have fun you all switching bikes and paying for two bikes.

One thing you might want to think about is that riding the new EMTB bikes uphill is becoming a very popular, new sport. My recommendation is sticking with either the new Bosh CX motor or the Avonix motor because this uphill sport has already caught on big in Europe and will surly become bigger...

I beg to differ with you. The Bimotal elevate kit can be removed in less than 5 minutes and reinstalled in the same. Very elegant. It seems you have not look into it.
