    W010 Fault Code

Just an update. Took an Emory board to the terminals on the battery mount and the battery and filled the battery terminals with dielectric grease. Did a 15 mile ride this morning and had zero faults. It also appears that the battery range has increased some as well as still had 3 bars showing...

    W010 Fault Codes

Thanks for the reply. Can you give me a summary of your issues and the process for how it was resolved? I'm going to call Commencal today and at least give them a heads up I'm having issues but am going to try the shine and grease remedy in the meantime. The only other issues I have had with the...

    W010 Fault Code

Found a few instances of this online and folks are saying it’s a battery connection issue. Shine up the contacts, dielectric grease and and the issue resolves for a few hundred miles. Could it be this simple? What about maybe reinstalling the firmware for the drive unit?

    W010 Fault Codes

Posted in “Motors” but posting here as well. Anyone have repeated W010 codes? Getting these more and more. 5 faults just this last ride. Bike is 2019 Meta Power 29 Race and is about 5 mos. old with about 800 miles on it.

    W010 Fault Code

Is anyone getting a repeat W010 fault code? Started getting this the other day and now repeatedly on every ride. Just finished an 18 mile ride and had 5 error codes. Motor support just turns off, screen and battery stay on. I have to reboot battery to clear fault and continue riding. This is a...

Commencal Meta Power Rear Shock Spring Rate

195# kitted out and a 500# spring is just right for 25% sag at 2 turns in.

    Meta Power Essential Fox 2019

At 5'9" you are definitely a M. If you like stretched out then a L might suit you more. I'm same height and am really comfy on my M bike, very balanced. I'm about same weight 195 loaded up and a 500# spring on the RS coil is right on the money for sag. 2 turns past no rattle and 25% sag. Set...

    Meta Power and workstands

Feedback Sports stand works fine with mine. Bike is HEAVY and requires a good bit of tightening on the adjustment screws but it works. These stands aren’t really made for a 50# bike. If I had the room I’d mount a permanent Park stand to the floor like in a shop.

    FU KS Lev!!

It is not recommended. If the design doesn’t have a positive lockout in both directions at any point in the travel then the cartridge can get air sucked into it if pulled up causing a soft top or spongy feeling at full lockout. This sucks cause you constantly hear the post extending when you...

    FU KS Lev!!

And BTW, dropping the motor is straightforward but is really tight in the frame mount. It required a lot of persuasion to free it. Getting it back in was similar. Make sure to follow the Shimano specs for the install. And make sure that the motor cable is securely plugged in. Mine came undone...

    NJN's Meta Power Race

The new 12 speed stuff I find finicky, at least with the motor. Had to order the pulley gap gauge and a derailleur hanger adjustment tool to make sure everything was in order just get it from ghost shifting. It’s not a perfect setup but it works well enough and offers a nice gear range. I just...

    Suspension settings

An update on this, I ordered the 500# spring and was spot on for sag at 1 1/2 - 2 turns in from non spring rattle position to achieve 25%. Make sure that when you check the non rattle stage it is done unloaded as the weight of the bike makes a difference.

New motor protector available for Meta Power

Same issue with the upper guard as well. I just added thread locker to the bolt and didn’t reef it down. Been fine since. Upper bolt just keeps it vertical.

As an update, I have to say that the turnaround from KS USA was probably the best warranty turnaround I have ever had for any product, ever. Granted they are only 1 state away but I received a rebuilt post within 5 days. It looks brand new but the work order shows just replacement parts. Since I...

    FU KS Lev!!

The chainring hides the chain guide bracket which in turn hides the right rear engine mount bolt so needed both special tools to remove the carrier locknut. Not cheap, @$90 for tools...but now I have them for next time which I'm cool with. Can never have enough tools! Tried to reuse the...

    FU KS Lev!!

Less than two months old and this dropper has the dreaded sag, soft top, etc. Just like my POS Reverb it sucked in air into the damper and had to get repaired for big money. We'll see how KS warranty handles it. In the meantime installing my Fox Transfer that has been super dependable for over a...

New motor protector available for Meta Power

I can attest to the strength and durability of the new bashguard. Mine has taken some HUGE hits and other than some deep gouges it's still in one piece. If I had the old one I'd definitely buy and install the new one. That motor is WAY too fragile and expensive to risk it.
