I think the weight delta between the two options would have to be more significant than it truly is for me to invest in a second smaller battery. That said, I rarely (almost never) deplete the entire 800 - but it’s good to know it’s there.

I researched - have an original EP8 and didn’t think it compatible. Maybe with EP801(?).

So - would like to upgrade my GFs bike to the newer switch (She has an original EP8 with the SW-300) switch. Feeling like the new switch might not work with the older system. Looked at the compatability chart - made me feel uneasy! Anybody tried this and no for sure you can use this switch with...

Awesome - just got mine last week too. Agree on all fronts. For sizing, I’m only a bit taller than you (and on the same trend) - on an RH-3 29/27.5. Went with 32mm stem, 35/35 bars. Feels brilliant. 3 rides in, getting it dialed. Only hanging chad is getting my front tire to seat straight...

That is AWESOME! Mine’s coming next week(!). Thinking about some of the upgrades you did so thanks for sharing. Also running EXT - and fit issues? May order that fox roller bearing too if fits well. Missed what size the bike is, mine is the RH-3. I was thinking of ordering a 170 AXS reverb...

I agree. Switch batt does actually charge off the main batt. Main batt has to be on for at least 30 mins to charge switch batt enough to revive. I suppose switch batt will eventually die - whic would require replacement. Don’t need to „ride“ - just need to keep the main batt on for 30‘ or more.
