It is a shameful design! Definitely under warranty so get it done - later versions had revised seals to stop this constantly happening, check they will fit these later seals. Worth buying a Mudstopper seal, Google it, they can pop that on whilst they are rebuilding the motor as they are already...
Mudhugger in large (fits up to 29" wheels and up to 3" wide tyres), fits straight on with supplied cable ties and is rock solid. Wished I done it months ago.

I've got the cube and can't fault it - bosch is bulletproof, quality parts and incredible value.1200 miles with no loose bolts! I'm the same build as you, bike is standard apart from aftermarket longer stem and more comfy seat.
