Thanks for the info. I read through the forum, I guess I didn't realize there were 2 separate noises. I know some issues where resolved with the re-torquing of the chainring lock nut. But, you're exactly right. We'll just have to see what Trek says. I can say, she has loved every minute of...
My girlfriend got her 9.7 Exe in July of 2022. No early motor issues or noises, had all of the service bulletin work completed and has loved the bike for 1800 miles. Two rides ago, said she could occasionally hear a clicking noise as she pedaled. I ensured everything was tight, cleaned the drive...
Welcome.. I am 5'10 - 1601bs, with average arm and leg length. I know what you mean about being in between sizes. But, it does allow for some flexibility. I went from a Large Trek Rail 9.8 to a medium Orbea Rise M10, and from looking at the numbers on the SL figured I would end up with a medium...
Will the motor provide more info to the Garmin than the battery and miles? On my Rise I can also have the range, MPH and assist level. Just wondering if those are available?
Welcome... I would say you are cheating on that recliner you could be sitting in, by riding and having a great time with your friends. And that is awesome.
There are 2 different chainrings. One that comes equipped with Sram and one for bikes with Shimano. You can look at the pictures on the Trek website and see the differences. My girlfriend got her 9.7 in July and wanted to put her Sram cassette on, but our Trek LBS said the Shimano cassette...
Geez... Now you tell me... Ha... She hit a monster drop with a little too much speed, got a little squirrelly, slid off trail into a big rock. Snapped her carbon bars and her ulna and radius. She happy to be back out riding...
Maybe. But unfortunately, JujuJuice had the motor cut out and had an error message after a few rides. She's been on 6 or 7 rides. Recovering from a broken arm, so she's getting back slowly, for her.
I was wondering the exact same thing. Are the reviewers required to sign a NDA about not discussing any problems they may have? Or is it like everything else, where those who have issues are more vocal? I get it. When you have a problem, you want to find answers. Someone with the same issue, may...
It must be. The 9.7 in "Deep Smoke" color is priced at $500 usd more than the other colors. But, for the 9.9 XXX AXS yellow is the same price as the other colors.
Sorry, I haven't had a chance to ride it except about a mile to the LBS. All I can really determine is that it is as quiet as everyone says it is. I was hoping they would have it finished by the time I got back home, but the AXS dropper is 31.6 and the EXe needs a 34.9, so they had to order a...
That is what I had seen in a review video. But, you make an excellent point. So, I found another review that said you can make it a mullet but you would not be able to change from the 29 and therefore have a slightly reduced top speed. Maybe Trek is working on software that automatically...
Yes, I'm sure. On the US website it doesn't even list the chainring for the Sram builds, but lists the E13 for Shimano. You can see the differences in the pictures. The top, grey bike is the Shimano.
Right? I am doing that right now on my bike. I'm just curious why Sram comes with a different chainring than the Shimano builds. Is that typical? That Rails I have purchased have all been Shimano with the E13 chainring. So, not sure if the Sram built Rails have a different chainring. I'll see...
