Have you considered a tie on front mudguard?
I have had a Zefal fitted for over 2 years now and it's been absolutely perfect. Very easy to fit. Would recommend :)
See the back spray/mud on my frame, which was from a very wet and muddy trail this weekend.
When I didn't have the mudguard fitted...
I'm running Maxxis Ardent, front and rear. Much better than the original tyres.
Rear is still tubeless, but I've now put a slime inner tube in the front. You need a high pressure pump when going tubeless, which I don't have.
Tyres are way better on mud and wet grass. Would recommend.
Big difference there between old and new. Think I'd best check mine.
Ordered a new Slime inner tube for my bike today. I've been running tubeless for over a year now, but seemed to have picked up a front puncture Thursday night. Noticed it yesterday when unloading my bike out of the van, after...
I have never taken any notice of the range on my bike, as I never look at any of the other screens, sorry.
I did a ride at Salisbury Plain yesterday for around 17 miles @ 1hr 14min and had 3 bars left on my 900. The display starts with 4 bars. This was mostly steady gradients.
When I'm at...
Hi.
Yes, I have interchanged the batteries on both bikes, without any issues.
I have taken my 520 battery with me as a spare, but never had to use it. 🤞
The forks on the 900 are better than on the 520. They also seem to hold the bike nice with the forks locked, when in the back of my van.
We have a 520 here which is about 12 months old.
I am not aware if the assistance can be tweaked. The display is fairly basic.
However, my wife gets on really well with it.
The only mod that has been done to her bike is a suspension post, which was a personal preference.
I actually find that...
Mines still performing well now, over nearly 2 years.
We went out for a ride this morning and used about 1 bar. I'll use the assist on steep hilly sections, but switch it off as soon as I'm back on the flats.
Also trying out a Cadence Sensor on my crank arm, just to see how it logs rides on my...
Apologies for the delay, been away.
The small is the better fit for myself, even though the sizing chart says that I'm suitable for a medium (1M65-1M75 ).
I am 170 and find the rear of the crossbar very high. I cannot put my feet flat on the ground with the medium.
We have a Small EST520 and a Medium EST900. I am 5' 7" and would say that the medium is a bit big for me.
The height issue for me on the EST900 is at the rear of the top crossbar, as this does not slope down very much and snags my ball sack :)
They are a tall bike.
You've done some good work again there Buddy, which will benefit others who own this model.
You should be on the payroll for Decathlon's R&D department. :)
I'm running a 38T. Max pedal speed on the flat was around 22mph with it's original crank. Now I max out at about 28mph on the flat.
Bike still pulls well up really steep hills/valleys where I live.
Mines like a bombsite at the moment. However, recently fitted an upright wall mount in the back corner which is a nice bit of kit and frees up a lot of space.
Got a second garage just going up on the side, so hopefully can turn that into a workshop and keep this one gym/bike based with turbo...
