It's just 2-3nm for the retaining cap. Friend of mine checked the torque on the same bike I got. He said the cranks where only tightened to 6nm. It was like the same with my bike.

Nahh the hex bolts tighten the crank onto the spline, this prevents the crank arm from wearing out the splines on the crank arm and shafts. The caps keep the arm from sliding off. Note everyone who mentions the crank falling off mentions the cap went first. That thread turns into a pissing...

About my crank arm just falling off mid jump. Get some loctite on your crank arm locking cap. Talked to commencal today and apparently they don't have any extra crank arms or caps, or any small parts really.

Same thing happened to me, except my crank arm fell off while I was in the air off a jump. My ankle is f ck d.

Crank arm popped off while I was in the air during a jump at my local bike park. It happened late in the day so I had got a bunch of runs in already. Landed on my right ankle with my back tire. It's super sprained, maybe broken. Getting x-rays now. PSA tighten everything on your new bike.

I gotcha, I rode with my wife on our non ebikes. She always struggled to keep up. I would wait for her and let her get her breath back. And just be chill. Hopefully you can ask her to wait for you while you catch up. Just try to be clear and communicate well. If your ego can't handle it, I guess...
