Ah okay thanks. I don't actually have a display unit. Only the app and indicator on the cable. Which explains why I couldn't get it to work. Do you know of it's possible to switch it on and off using E-tube or something like that - an app?
Hi Vadl, I managed to get the light working on my Orbea Rise by doing this but it only seems to work on the "Always on" setting. Any idea how it works on the "On" setting? Crazy that you have to do this complicated hack just to activate the light port!
Yep found that now, thanks. What about the correction field? If I set it to -5%, would that give me a further 5% speed? Or does it need to be +5% to do that? What is it correcting?
Don't worry about answering that. I worked it out (rtfm). What would the effect of using the correction field be. If I set it to -5%, would that give me a further 5% on top of that? Or would it need to go in the other direction to do that?
How do you set to 1300mm? The smallest option I get is "700c" (whatever that means) which equates to 2072. I can adjust that by -5% but that's it. There's no 1300mm option.
Hey @vadII, I have a 2022 Orbea Rise M-ltd - so EP8RS motor. I have changed the region to US to increase max limit to 32Kph. To get it higher than that, I believe I need to reduce the wheel size to the smallest possible (on a 29 inch wheel) and that I should be able to get to 42km/h max by doing...
Is it possible to derestrict speed completely? Or only change to US? I guess you select smallest wheel size (on a 29 inch wheel) to increase to 42km/h vs the US 32 Km/h limit?
Just saw this and your subsequent post - thanks :). Now wondering if anyone has tried the 906SE. Look as if 24 Watt limit on the port will mean that both lights spit out around 1800 lumens anyway, so perhaps no point in getting one. However on the Magicshine website, it does say "Some Motors...
This is useful, but did you mean to say 902SE - this one here : Magicshine® MJ-902S Front Bike Light E-bike ready. It's odd that it should work and the ones that Rob and others tried (ME 2000 and 906S don't), particularly given that the ME2000 pushes out less lumens that the 902SE. Anyway, I've...
