LBS confirmed just now that it’s as of repair date. @Specialized Rider Care can you confirm this?

Just got my bike back. New motor and the serial date shows it’s a 09/2020 motor (original was 2019). It’s very quiet now! Didn’t realize how loud my motor was previously. Wasn’t able to get and answer in the warranty start date. Will update if I get one from the LBS.

Yep, I agree with ya. I found it interesting that the LBS specifically stated this when we discussed the replacement. I’m going to ask them again when I pick it up. If they’re stating something different from Specialized, I’ll want it noted on my repair bill.

Got my replacement motor approved. Should get it back this week. LBS said the warranty on the new motor is two years from replacement.

My turn. 2021 Turbo Levo Comp. 15 miles out for a 30 mile ride. Motor starter making a sound and then started whirling. Bought in July 2020, but motor has a 10/2019 hardware date. All FW up to date. Maybe the LBS will swap it out for a newer one. To add, it’s not rideable when the motor is off...

Concern here is that walk assist is there to help when you can’t walk. I dunno...guess it could be seen the other way too. Nice to be able to hold the button and have it assist you up first.

How do you like your Fox dropframe helmet? I’m debating that one vs their speedframe version. I don’t take big downs, so leaning toward the speedframe. That said, had a minor head-on crash with another rider (his fault, YT Decoy) and made me think the Dropframe may protect better.

Thanks! Yep, read that and it states that 2021 motors have the updated improvements. My concern is that motor build date is from a time possibly before the parts were available. For example, a 2020 Levo could have a 12/2019 motor build date as could a 2021 (like mine). I/we notified Rider Care...

Where did specialized reference this? I don’t recall reading that. Seems a simple update or reply from Rider Care would clear this up.

Would be nice to hear that the motor date isn’t the deciding factor in old/new parts from @Specialized Rider Care directly and not an LBS. I have a 2021 Levo Comp with a Dec 2019 motor build. No issues so far but would like confirmation. Haven’t seen them on this thread in a while.

To find the date on your motor, got to Mission Control app and look at the serial number for the motor. You’ll see 100 followed by numbers. That’s your build date.

What’s the build date for your 2021 spec motor? I have a 2021 Comp and have a 12/2019 motor build. A couple others here have the same. Not sure If this means we have an older build with newer parts or older build with older parts.
