Very sad to see this. I've had the Volspeed v.3 for more than 1,5 months now with no error (Firmware 1.1.0.0). Speed limit has been set at 35km/h most of the time but for the last week or so I've been using it at 38km/h. I never use turbo mode (mostly eMTB), and I never turn off the Purion...
That bike looks insane. You'll probably be fine with 35km/h, as it will help you push out the rest with your legs more easily. I have to work my ass off to get up to 40km/h with my heavy fat tyre mountainbike. :D
The 504 error usually shows up after 200-300 kms from my experience. Keep us updated. Do you even get up to 55km/h with your bike? My bike has very slow tyres on it. On a plain road, and with my motor completely unrestricted I manage to hit 50km/h if I try hard. It is fast.
There have been speculations that higher speeds are associated with the error 504 before on the forum, but I don't think there is consensus about it. It seems that those who set their speeds relatively low don't get the error as much, from what I have seen on the forum. I myself have had great...
I've been riding my Gen 4 CX (Firmware 1.1.0.0) with Volspeed 3 for over a month now without the error 504, the speed is set to 35km/h. And I ride it for at least 50km every day. It seems that higher speeds trigger the anti tuning of the motor, not sure how high you can go, but up to 35km/h...
Very sad to see this. But I have been riding my bike for a month with Volspeed 3.0 and FW 1.1.0.0 with speed limit set at 35km/h. No problem so far. Maybe we need to avoid the higher speeds?
I had no idea this was possible. I now use Volspeed v.3 with my speed capped at 35km/h as I find it a good balance between good speeds and decent battery life. I've been riding the bike daily for two weeks now with this setup and no issues, but we shall see. I'll definitely keep ya'll updated if...
I've had two strikes, will update if I get a third. But how to you set speeds with badassBox 4? For me it deristricted all the way to 50km/h... there was no option to limit that further with the dongle attached.
I have Volspeed v.3 set to 35km/h, it's too early for me to say anything regarding error 504 with this setup. With badassBox 4 I was getting support up to 50km/h.
For me the combo 1.0.2.0 and badassBox 4 worked for only 3 days with the same motor as you. With the latest firmware 1.1.0.0 (85nM) the same combo worked for 2 weeks of daily riding before 504 error. Not sure if it's the dongle that is triggering the error, or if it's something else. I'm now...
After I updated to firmware 1.1.0.0 (85nM) the badassBox 4 worked fine for 2 weeks until I got the 504 error, I'm not sure if it's because of the dongle or if I only was unlucky, as there has been cases where people get the 504 error without any tuning at all. In any case, you'll have to ride...

Thanks but nothing works, at least it is not showing any of those codes. I've tried it in every possible way but it never shows 50.0 or 50.1. Seems like dynamic mode is always on for me. Everything else works as it is supposed to. Weird.
I bought the VOLspeed v.3 and installed it yesterday, seems to work fine except for the "dynamic mode" switch, I'm not seeing 50.0 or 50.1 when pushing the buttons as shown in the operating manual. I have the Purion display. What am I doing wrong? Anyone else have this issue?
