    Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

the new dread is certainly impressive, but it’s singleminded. I know it wouldn’t be ideal for me after living with a 170/170 KSL for 4 years. I am having so much more fun on the “trail bike” edruid. 160/150 with intend fork and Telum help with making this even more capable but still keeps it...

Curious is the 700wh battery will work. Avinox is making a big deal about backwards compatibilty. 700wh with better energy density would be my sweet spot Motor changes are 🤷‍♂️ . I don’t need more power

I am coming from (well still have it but haven’t ridden it recently lol) a KSL. I am comfortable pushing the edruid as hard or hard than the KSL on my local trails. There may be one or two tracks that are proper DH where the KSL has an advantage, but I vastly prefer the geo to the Druid...

The geo has always been a bigger factor than travel for me. 180/180 og kenevo had old school geometry. Was a trail bike that felt like a couch. Kenevo SL felt like a downhill bike that just wanted to go fast (albeit geo adjustments could mitigate that ) The e Druid makes really good use of...

Haha.. well I did curse myself because - no joke - next ride I started getting my rear wheel to loose spokes and untrue.

Oh nice.. maybe it’s just my poor search skills but I didn’t see that guidance. Gtk!

Anyone running a 2.6 tire in the rear (bonus points if it’s a schwable Albert gravity ). Seems like ample room to fit, but I haven’t seen official guidance on rear tire size. 2.6s are easier to find at the moment Side note - I am at close to 600mi on my rear tire (2.5 soft gravity Albert)...

At least on the air shock 32-35% felt under sprung to me. 87kg is close to me. Good to hear that I am in the right range!

For those running a coil: What spring rate, sag , rider weight are you finding best? Obviously shock dependent to some extent. Looks like the vorsprung has me at 550lb, 31%, 86kg rider weight

Yeah, this bike is noticeably harder to pedal than my SLs with motor off. I attributed a bit to the high pivot, but it's the motor too. I would almost it equate needing to be in a gear or maybe two below what I would with the SL bike to have an equivalent power to ground ratio.

TL;DR - I was getting over the KSL being overkill for most (75% or so) of my riding and wanted something more balanced Longer version: I have gone back back and forth from Long travel EMTB to mid-ish over the past 7 or so years. Started with the OG 180/180 Kenevo, which was heavy and old...

    Forbidden Druid CorE vs Crestline

Same. It saved my ass today as well on a sketchy gap to rear wheel slide out that “caught itself” as the bike lengthened on compression (the slide was nothing to do with my 550+ mi rear tire wear and higher pressure today .. not all 😆) First few rides on the Druid I had to get used to the...

Have you seen the pink bike emtb shootout? They compare both . The forbidden thread is pretty active too. I believe someone had experience with both

    Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

Ran into a Core on the trail yesterday for the first time ( if anyone was riding Teds in San Diego yesterday and was trying to retrieve your drone from being locked on a tree… hi 😆) Also had my first run on my flash 35 at 160mm. Still need more time to formulate my full opinions, but man is...

lol must have been the pink bike article complaining about the Avinox lacking on low torque cadence 😆

    Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

Yes - got KSL when the first came out , after having a heavily modified levo sl . From what you showed, the Druid would do great. It just might have a bit harsher bottom out if you case 😆. The Druid - to me - feels a bit more effortless on flow trails. It corners on rails, and you are...

    Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

I think it depends on what you classify as bike park. The Druid jumps and corners great . However, the KSL probably has an edge and at the absolute edge of fast descents and bigger jumps do to the geo and travel. Personally, I think the KSL takes more effort to jump well , so if you are...

It’s really good , especially for the steeper trails. But the Druid is just more fun everywhere and hasn’t given up much in the steeps
