Welcome…..I like that Heckler. I called every SC dealer in Canada in May 2020, and several in the nw US, trying to find one in XXL. Bought the Trek Rail instead, which is a beauty bike too, and they’re a lot of fun. How is the riding in Colorado? Are there many trails where ebikes are not...

    Tall guy and a rail???

You can add me to the club....I’m 6’6” with a 36” inseam and 36” sleeve length. I’ve been on an XL Rail 9.7 for a year. It fits me perfectly, without any more modification than moving the seat back a bit.

    EMTB for large rider?

I understand the challenge. I am 6’6” and was 270 pounds (36/37” arms and 36” inseam) last spring when shopping for my bike. I phoned/emailed every dealer in Canada trying to find an XXL SC Heckler to get the long reach, but had no success. Ended up on an XL carbon rail 9.7. Beautiful bike, and...

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

It’s the coil....I’ve got an XL frame, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen people on here who’ve made the swap...... But if a RS piggyback coil won’t fit, I’d appreciate that confirmation too. [emoji16]

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

A question for those who’ve already swapped to a Rockshox coil.... I’m looking at a 230x57.5 super deluxe ultimate that is a takeoff from a new Megatower. If you have already made this swap, can you tell me if you needed any new bushings or bearings? Or can the fittings from the existing...

    Hitch mount emtb rack

I have the Thule T2 Pro XT2. I like it a lot! Max capacity is 120 pounds, which should work for two eBikes. https://www.thule.com/en-us/bike-rack/hitch-bike-racks/thule-t2-pro-xt-2---2-_-1691037 Cheers

would you buy an emtb without a test ride?

TL;DR - yes, I did. Do your research online and try to learn what size you need. Maybe by riding bikes of similar dimensions/geometry’s? ———————- Yes, I did. And it’s quite the story of how I ended up with my Trek Rail 9.7....since others are telling their tales, I’ll add mine.... I’d never...

    2021 Rail Model Range

The stock dropper is 150mm and 440mm total length. I ride pretty tall with my long legs, and have the dropper fully extended, with 40mm of post left to be dropped. Not sure if that helps or not, but that 40mm is close to the difference in our inseams... Cheers

    2021 Rail Model Range

Hi @bluewater87 I have an XL Rail. I think you should be OK on the bike with an inseam of 34”. I have a 36” inseam and it fits well. What exactly is your concern? Getting dropped extension? Stand over height? If I can help with specifics from my bike, just ask. Cheers

Ebike for very tall rider. Orbea Wild?

I am 6’6” (198 cm) with 36” inseam and 36.5” arms, and just struggled through the ‘what bike to get’ decision. And where I live, there are generally no bikes in stock that I can try on for fit. Ideally, I wanted to buy an XXL Santa Cruz Heckler. Knowing what has fit me in the past, I liked the...

Own an XL Rail and near Whistler?

Hi everyone. I am throwing this out there, in case there is anyone in the group who might be able to help. I have a 2020 Rail 9.7 and have been talking to the guys at ridewrap.ca in Whistler. They have the dimensions and already offer a full wrap for the L sized frame, but they don't have...

    Cheers from nw Alberta

Thanks. I flipped the Mino link to the high setting today, just to try it out. I did not do a big ride, but I did notice the difference on the front end. I want to try both settings over the next couple of weeks on the trails. I was surprised by the different feel just riding around the...
