    Cube one77 2025

Thanks for all the replies ^ Sounds like a solid choice. It's only the base model HPC 800 but it's $5,700 aud or $2,995 gbp - so plenty of room to upgrade things in future. I'll be sure to post a pic here once I pick up the bike! Very excited.. Bit torn on colour, they have the willowgreen...

    Cube one77 2025

I am seriously considering a ONE77 as my first e-bike (looking to purchase locally on Monday, big discount). I was set on a merida but that has the Shimano ep801 with 85nm max, this isn’t much more and has the 120nm Bosch. How has everyone’s bike been holding up? Has anyone racked up 5-10...

What issues are there with the Merida eone-sixty 675 / how long will a shimano ep801 motor last

Hi @Greg Watts I want to buy this is my first e bike 2024 Merida eone-sixty 675 with the shimano ep801 motor. What are common issues with this bike? How many km will I get from the ep801 motor before it needs replacing or rebuilding? I am over 100kg and ride around 4000km per year. Should I...

Who actually wants more than 85nm and 400%

Hey, thanks for reply. Good to know you’re perfectly happy with 85nm. Sounds like it suits you, in that you aren’t in a situation where you’re riding buddies regularly drop you on climbs - I wonder if someone in that situation would feel differently. I only ride solo, I just had such a great...

    EMTB prices are plummeting.

I’m struggling to understand this comment, why are they cute little toys? Because they don’t have a bloated down tube and weigh over 25kgs?

I am in the exact position as your mate, in the market my first e-bike in Aus and now torn between something like this for $5000 or an $9000 teewing

Do I really need more than 85nm as a heavy rider

@Greg Watts my options are - 2025 Merida e160 675 for $4999 aud - 2026 Trek Rail 5 for $6999 aud do you think the $2k premium is worth it for the Bosch unit? The Merida also has better specs (besides motor)

Who actually wants more than 85nm and 400%

Is there anyone over 100kg who is perfectly happy with their 85nm unit? I'm in the market for my first e-bike, and there are half price bikes around with the shimano ep801 unit. Or for about a 50% premium I could get a Bosch Gen 5 equipped bike (M2S is out of price range right now). Would I...

Do I really need more than 85nm as a heavy rider

Hi @Greg Watts I recently test rode a Trek Rail Gen 5 with the updated Bosch unit giving 120nm. I am 105kg and really appreciated the speed at which I could self-shuttle up loose gravel climbs. How much slower would I be on a shimano ep801 with 85nm? Would I regret buying an ebike with the...

Who actually wants more than 85nm and 400%

I just went for my first e-bike ride this month (after mountain biking for 20 yrs) - on the trek rail with 120nm. I am 105kg (6’5) - I would put myself in the class of someone who wants more than 85nm

Amflow vs Trek Rail for a 105kg/6'5" rider — enough range and 120Nm torque?

@Greg Watts what are common issues with the Bosch CX Gen 5? Have there been many warranty cases?

Amflow vs Trek Rail for a 105kg/6'5" rider — enough range and 120Nm torque?

@Greg Watts It would be the PX carbon in xxl for $9,999. How important is it that I buy locally? I am competent working on my analogue bike, but unfamiliar dealing with electric motors, batteries, wires. I’m also concerned about warranty issues. If I consider buying online, I could also look...

Amflow vs Trek Rail for a 105kg/6'5" rider — enough range and 120Nm torque?

@Greg Watts . If I only ride both bikes in turbo mode, how much range would I expect

Amflow vs Trek Rail for a 105kg/6'5" rider — enough range and 120Nm torque?

I am trying to decide what to buy. I am 105kg and 6’5. I want at least 120nm tq. Would an amflow give me enough range or should I consider the trek rail. @Greg Watts
