Help me decide - light eMTB

Loving it. Have racked up over 200 miles so far including a few trail centers. I still want a workout so quite often ride with no assist on flat or small inclines and use eco (in standard settings) to compensate for weight of bike on climbs....knowing that I have extra shove if I need it and...

Would you buy Direct to Consumer or LBS?

I like to support my LBS and would always go to them first. I am even willing to pay more if I have used their services - for example test rides or trying on helmets. I think it is rude to use a physical shop to check things over / test fit etc. and then but online. If we don't support them...

Rail (750Wh) Trek Rail+ big gap in sizing...

Yes Trek removing ML threw me a curve ball as well as that was what I have previously owned. I am 6ft (I know this is actually a meaningless reference and leg / arm / body lengths vary) and chose a medium when I bought my Fuel Exe. I was lucky that my LBS lent me a medium and a large so I was...

Motor spec database for Bosch CX Gen 5 accuracy

@Greg Watts what are the advantages and disadvantages of changing my 150mm air spring to a 160mm air spring on a RockShox Lyrik Select+

Motor spec database for Bosch CX Gen 5 accuracy

@Greg Watts I know that tyre choice is super subjective but in your opinion, what tyre would you choose if you were me (and I'm not gonna tell you what I currently have). I am approaching 100kg fully kitted and ride an 18kg Trek with a TQ motor. I am also too lazy to change tyres for the...

    E Rallon?

As a fan of SL bikes and peddling, I'm just not sure this brings enough to the table. I bought a Fuel Exe that now weights in at just over 18kgs with pedals. Standard 150 140 suspension can cope with most and tweaks to 160 150 is easy. or @Rob Rides EMTB has built a 19kg enduro rig Trek Fuel...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

If you are in UK be very careful about considering - laws differ. In UK assistance stops at 16mph so you need to grind manually to exceed that. I regularly ride tracks / tow paths when I am linking routes with motor off and you can get above 16mph on flat but it is hard work and you notice...

My first Ebike, just waiting for some mudguards to arrive, then hopefully get out on it.

No mudguards on any of my bikes and I ride all year. Getting muddy is part of the fun (and I have never found any that really work!)

Bosch SX 400wh with AXS power adaptor range effect?

I really wouldn't worry about it using the main battery - how much do you really think it is going to use? My Trek runs the same way - says it has approx. 300 shifts in reserve when the battery is showing as empty. Which I guess could give me an extra metre of drive :)

What did you buy your ebike this week?

New saddle to replace the Bontrager arse axe that came with the bike. Had a Fizik Alliante sitting in garage so have put that on. Strictly speaking it is a road saddle but was comfy on the XC bike so though nothing to lose.

Is anyone using a rear mudguard / fender on Trek Fuel Exe?

Appreciate the input - will take a look at those as well.

Is anyone using a rear mudguard / fender on Trek Fuel Exe?

Apologies for starting a new thread but this has been asked on multiple occasions in the mega thread without answer. I can't believe nobody is using one and hoping that this will prompt replies. TIA.

I'm also interested in mudguard options. My plan is to get both a 2nd battery and an RE

Help choosing an eBike for £4K

That's a shame. I know many own and have no issues with motor rattle ... but I do and could not live with it.

Anyone miss their old non Emtb??

I bought my SL ebike with the intention of not using the analogue bike .... and so far I haven't. My Trek is pretty easy to ride (but obviously heavy) without any motor assistance and I am currently playing with motor settings. The plan is that eco will compensate for the extra kilos so i can...
