The 2 bigger pins of EP801 are silver-colored when new/free of oxidation.
I noticed that contact cleaner doesn't really help (at least alone), but 5-10 mins of electric toothbrushing and the pin looks like a new again.
For some reason only the right upper pin turns to gold (=gets oxidized)...
So my fix above worked for 8 months of winter riding every day without a single shutdown.

I added some spacers behind & in the front between the spider and the chainring, and managed to get 36T to fit instead of the stock 34T.

After 2 years, my EP8 has a kind of grinding when riding.
Removed and cleaned the pedals, cranks and chainring, no help so it comes from inside the motor.

OK, so the bike has a NX cassette (PG-1230), which is special as it fits Shimano 8,9,10,11-speed splined driver freehubs.
GX cassette and up are XD driver only.
The bike has 12-speed SRAM Eagle GX/NX, but the specs still say:

The reason I'm asking is because Canyon recommends using the slower charger as it noticeably increases the lifespan of the battery.
They are actually shipping a part of their 2019 e-bikes with the slower EC-E6002 charger for this reason.
How many more life cycles will I get when using a slower 1.8A charger instead of 4A one for a 12Ah battery?
Should I have both chargers and only use the faster one when in a rush?
