Specialized Levo 4 Firmware Update: 850W, 111Nm, and a Free OTA Power Unlock

Not only did it seem fair but the numbers are what should stand out, 1.2 mph (average faster) at same the 850watts . What do you think that 150watts remaining from the Amflow will net it on the climb? Diminishing returns the faster you go....

Specialized Levo 4 Firmware Update: 850W, 111Nm, and a Free OTA Power Unlock

Again, did you watch the video as he literally said that the Amflow had the 1000watt option but was tested at the previous lower power setting of Amflow (850 watts). So what did you miss?

Specialized Levo 4 Firmware Update: 850W, 111Nm, and a Free OTA Power Unlock

I can also go faster on my Sur-Ron, not even having to pedal. I have ridden both bikes and preferred the Levo prior to the power upgrade, its just a way better ride. If power is your only defining metric for an eMTB, congrats! That gap just closed considerably. ;)

Specialized Levo 4 Firmware Update: 850W, 111Nm, and a Free OTA Power Unlock

I think this is because people are thinking in terms of torque and not power. Also, since I am guessing most people did pre-test there bike prior to the update. If you were looking for the bike to surge harder forward that's not gonna happen, what is happening that once you get up to speed the...

Specialized Levo 4 Firmware Update: 850W, 111Nm, and a Free OTA Power Unlock

Well I use "Walk mode" less than .00001% of the riding time so its not a big deal. My concern is ppl saying "grinding" sound, but to me it sound electrical in nature as in a contact switch or other electrical component... it is not a mechanical grind. And for you ppl saying it goes away after...

Specialized Levo 4 Firmware Update: 850W, 111Nm, and a Free OTA Power Unlock

try again, press the walk mode button and place some resistance on the bike and tell me that noise stops.... It sounds terrible. They really need to fix this!!!!

Levo Gen 4 Specialized Gen 4 Levo - Official Thread

So we agree the (Ease of Access) is the problem, even at 10% 10/XX I feel like it way to easy to access that % motor assistance (XX). Access to max XX is determined by by cadence, so dropping gears makes this easy. If your riding 10/80 ease of access doesn't seem to matter, but if I ride 10/20...

Levo Gen 4 Specialized Gen 4 Levo - Official Thread

Maybe I am not understanding your original concern, but you have the bike set at 10/30 and so the bike can still access 30% of it total power. The 10 is ease of access meaning how hard you need to pedal to access the 30% of total power. The issue is its all cadence driven so if you downshift...

Levo Gen 4 Gen 4 Sworks and Non-Sworks New Firmware Coming Soon (Yes, Really !)

Yes I would say cadence as it relates to power output on these bikes plays a huge impact to energy savings, to the point that even though DJI is using more power the rate and cadence at which its climbing may gain efficiencies.... muddied by about 20 other factors. I want a bench test to see...

Levo Gen 4 Gen 4 Sworks and Non-Sworks New Firmware Coming Soon (Yes, Really !)

These are all great discussions, but the fact remains that whether its power to weight ratio / Driving force reduction they are 2 separate motors. So I submit that Specialized just raise their power to 750w and call it a day. This topic of more power + more range is crazy... when power is...

Levo Gen 4 Gen 4 Sworks and Non-Sworks New Firmware Coming Soon (Yes, Really !)

There is nothing to think about, Specialized would have tested this motor prior to release. In other words they already have the numbers and know whether this is or isn't an acceptable move. As far as battery consumption, it would seem a no brainer as more power = more draw but as stated above...

Levo Gen 4 Gen 4 Sworks and Non-Sworks New Firmware Coming Soon (Yes, Really !)

Said th Said this a while back, the motor was design with plenty left in the tank before the battery draw numbers would cause damage. So with a simple SW tweak this bike can push 25% more, I am sure Splesh has been running the new numbers for MTBFs of the motor and feel confident. Hence...

Levo Gen 4 Gen 4 Sworks and Non-Sworks New Firmware Coming Soon (Yes, Really !)

Start the thread now... "I feel like the range on my new Levo Gen4 is terrible" This already exists, you can tune this bike down to basically off. Maybe an option for a a few Custom settings beyond Turbo / trail / Auto +- / eco.. like Custom1 &2

Levo Gen 4 Specialized Gen 4 Levo - Official Thread

I was going to recommend the exact same thing, "try a different Phone". I recently had a similar iPhone 13 issue and used a different phone and the issue resolved (different SW but same type of issue). Sorry I know not everyone has a second phone. Also, the remove battery part is a good idea...

Levo Gen 4 Lower battery range than I expected

At its most basic level you can't compare the 2 bikes as the motors and batteries are different, and your bike on the exact same settings as the Gen3 would still consume more juice. That said what was your ECO setting (default?), that would give more insight. If Gen4 was in the Eco default and...
