    Authorities are waking up...

I completely agree these motors are a problem in the US, because of your multiple Class regulation. Most of us don't have that problem, because there is only Class 1. And that is all the motor does.

    Authorities are waking up...

Correct. It's Electric Mountain Biking. If you just wanted to go downhill, we'd all be riding MTBs. But we're here on this forum because we ride EMTBs. Hence many find better climbing EMTBs, better. No it's not. It has more peak power. It's good for climbers. It's limited to 25kph. It will...

    Authorities are waking up...

Yes I'm an unsponsored owner of Avinox EMTBs and found his previous videos on the subject, couldn't be further from the truth. Perhaps the unpopularity stems from others feeling the same way ? But I'm not here to criticize his opinion. I just don't like the division created by all these...

    Authorities are waking up...

Mate. I'm Mountain Biking to relax, enjoy life, and get away from the rat race. If mountain biking for you is producing ranting videos and starting multiple threads that create division in this giving community. Then we really aren't going to agree on much.

    Authorities are waking up...

Oh Jesus ...... Talk about a broken record ? ......... There is already a Lexbot thread that got moved to de-restriction. This has been discussed there many, many, many times. I suggest you do some reading. I'm not doing it again.

    Authorities are waking up...

:ROFLMAO: 25kph limit, 250 watts rated motor and pedal-assist only is not enough ??? ....... sure. This is why the world is looking to China, and the rest of the world will stop buying from Europe. My previous 2 bikes before the Amflow were European. I certainly will not buy another European...

It's a shame. He used to make good videos. It's all just negativity now. I had to unsubscribe. Don't need those negative vibes.

Which country ? They appear to comply with all. What do you believe is the non-compliance ? No it cannot. It will heatup and de-rate. It has a thermistor in the motor to prevent overheating, which derates the motor. The new battery can provide more power than the motor can support. But that's...

    Authorities are waking up...

Agree totally. We need to raise awareness of the scourge of these offenders. But we must also ensure there is an awareness of separation between these E-Motos, and the Class 1, or EN15194, compliant E-Bikes. The OP seems determined to confuse the two, to push his narrative. As someone coming...

    Authorities are waking up...

I saw that programme. How about you present the facts, that the bike featured in that story was an illegal E-Moto and illegal E-Scooters, and nothing to do with EMTBs ? This is an EMTB forum. The bike below was featured in the programme. As well as scooters. Some with speeds up to 70kph. I...

    Authorities are waking up...

Because all their mates are getting better climbing bikes with more peak power. It's tough and embarrassing always being last on the climb with your Bosch/Shimano, or if you've hobbled your own bike........ SWorks\Mahle\Dyname\Avinox for the win ........

    EMTB prices are plummeting.

I agree. I wouldn't buy it, because I'm a climber. But those looking for a Downhill rig with uplift built in. It's great rig.

Electric mini pumps, do you use them?

My pump has a USB-C port. So does my bike. It takes 15mins to recharge. I plug the pump into the bike as required. Which due to the pump having a battery. Is not very often. I have also completely drained my pump battery, filling all my friends tyres. Then recharged whilst riding. It clips to...

    Avinox M2s rattle

Mine is silent. Ignore the Lexbots. The guy needs to get out more.

    EMTB prices are plummeting.

A 170/160 mulleted Enduro, with a Top of the Range Shimano Motor and Battery, T-Type SRAM Transmission, SRAM XX Crankset, DD Rear Tyre and Marzocchi 36mm stanchioned suspension for £2600. Find me better value.

    EMTB prices are plummeting.

I think this is entrenched into many of the legacy brands. Change takes time. Meanwhile the disruptors listen to customer feedback and make the changes quickly.

    EMTB prices are plummeting.

Yep. When I went to Pushys in Canberra. The store was filled with M2S builds, awaiting pickup. They are what many want. Certainly no 43% discount on those bikes. You pay retail, or you get something else.

    EMTB prices are plummeting.

It might be our access to Asia, or our trade relationship. Seems weird that the same store in NZ is not offering the same discount. It's not like they are getting rid of old stock here. Every size in both colours is available.

SRAM Eagle T-Type Transmission Compatibility Thread

There is no limit or B-screw. So it won't align without the 2mm washer. There is a tiny amount of adjustment in the barrel screw. That's it.

    Experimenting with Rear Hubs

It was too noisy and the alloy axles deformed. I couldn't get the bearings off easily because of the deformation. I've changed to Koozer 490 Pro and Koozer 350, which have ChroMoly axles. Done a season on them, and they are nice.
