Dylan Stark X The All-New Decoy

Dylan Stark just dropped a video of him putting the new Decoy through it's paces.

    Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

I replaced my drivetrain with a Shimano XT Linkglide drivetrain and a waxed chain. After a couple hundred km of riding it still looks brand new. I've been waxing my gravel bike chains for a year, and now all the bikes are getting waxed chains as their chains get replaced. I'm a believer.

What type of emtb rider are you ?

Park laps are great. Riding up the climb trails is far more enjoyable then getting sun baked in the lift line.

I Think I'm Done With EMTB

It's the bike that's breaking, this bike in particular, not me. With close to three decades of riding and racing I've got a firm grasp on my limits. I've already stated this though. GFY bud.

What is your problem? Do you exist to be contrary? Are you so lonely that you go on the internet solely to stir shit? Go ride your bike and stop being a miserable SOB.

    Staying safe on the road

Bikepacking the North Coast 500 is on my bucket list.

    Staying safe on the road

I've been riding on the road since the early 90s. Mainly commuting, but also a lot of road riding, racing, and touring/bikepacking. I've had many close calls, luckily, I've only been hit twice and bumped a few more times. Some of my friends have experienced traumatic major injuries after being...

I Think I'm Done With EMTB

I don't chose which trails I ride based on my bike, I choose them based on my skillset. I choose my bike based on what I want to ride. If I'm breaking components on unavoidable technical trail features that I can clean without issue on other bikes the issue isn't the trail, it's the bike. I...

I Think I'm Done With EMTB

I'm not an engineer, but designing an alloy guard to protect the most vital component of an emtb from impact with the full weight of the bike and rider behind it should have been done more thoughtfully. The spot where the guards are cracking is only 9mm wide, this is a design flaw. The previous...

Really really time poor so need help with ballpark suspension settings for new bike day so I can get a quick ride in.

That's pretty much how I do it. Open the compression, add riding weight in kilograms to the fork (+10kg for full power emtb), multiply my riding weight by 2.2 for riding weight in pounds (+10kg for emtb again) for rear shock pressure. This is the starting point for setting sag. I set my high...

I Think I'm Done With EMTB

The motor cut-out on the non-drive side of the motor armour is a single point of failure in it's design. There's a drop over a ledge on one of my favourite trails that always catches my motor, if I mistime the hop into the drop (really sketch) the motor impacts the lip of the granite ledge. I...

Have you broken a motor cover? I'm on my third one unfortunately. Even with add-on armour they are cracking on the non-drive side pretty easily.

What type of emtb rider are you ?

My favorite local trails are a network of janky loamers that I can ride to from home, plenty of steep chutes, granite, and slippery roots. These trails are hard on equipment. I’ve broken phones, bike computers, and fingers here, so I avoid mounting anything valuable on my handlebars. For me...

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

I ditched the bottle and run a hydration bladder. I use the cage bosses to mount spares. I run an accessory mount with a tube strap. My OneUp EDC pump is mounted beside the strap, my spare tube and tire levers are strapped to the mount. I wear a Camelbak Chase vest with my water, food, and a...

I Think I'm Done With EMTB

It's a little humorous how some of you took my criticism of my bike as a personal attack and chose to insult me for it. I really didn't understand the hate for E-MTB riders because I'd never witnessed it, but some of the replies in this thread have really opened my eyes. Maybe it's the decline...
