SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Error 21 means engine is not receiving speed sensor signal. Check speed sensor cable connection, verify you connected the cable from sensor port to engine mainboard securely.

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

they use a standard M6 thread. i guess there might be a resin residue blocking the threads, try removing, scraping it with a pick or thread tap. if that’s resin, there should be no/very little metal shavings

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

yes, this happens to me as well, also when pedaling without puting high torque on the cranks, "chasing the engine" with pedals. greasing the engine didn't affect this behavior. i suspect this is the large unidirectional needle bearing on the main shaft, rollers resonating mechanically on the...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I'm on V2 size M and for me only 150mm seatpost would fit, and not all the way in because there's a carbon ridge in the frame above charging port to protect the cables.

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Guys, did you find a long-term solution to shift cable housing being broken and shift action getting worse due to suspension work? In my first installation I let cable housing pass through the windows without any sleeves, the shifting quickly got worse after a few jumps & drops because the steel...

    Bafang m820

FYI: M820 enclosure gaskets (the ones that are really easy to damege when greasing) are now available for sale at GreenBikeKit (www.greenbikekit.com).

78km with 2400m climbs on 480Wh battery, 92kg rider + equipment weight, eco mode including ~10km without any assistance on flats and downhills

yes, this happens. mounting the speed sensor vertically like @Ger@anio63 posted helps, but the real long lasting solution for me was adding additional spacers (including spring spacer to prevent sensor rotation) to move the sensor ~3mm inwards.

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I got info from Jean they will send me a new chainstay. I used this opportunity to order a spare motor guard and 2 complete sets of spare suspension bearings in the same package (one set is 8xF6901-VRS + 4xF6801-VRS at 1.65$ each bearing). They will pre-route the speed sensor in the chainstay...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Today I was planning to do annual full service including suspension bearings replacement. Upon disassembly and closer inspection I’ve found the crack in the chainstay, which was hidden under the rubber chainstay protector. This must have happened few months ago as the crack resulted in paint...

    Chamrider battery company review

I had good experience with PSWpower. I bought Tongsheng TSDZ2B kit from them and the included battery performs well, seems to have the advertised capacity. Their support was good. For me the key point was that they ship from EU (warehouse in France) so fast delivery and no additional costs...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I just noticed one of the gaskets in the suspension hinge has broken. These gaskets are made of aluminium and seem to be very fragile. I was very careful not to overtorque them when assembling the bike so I used calibrated torque wrench set to 12Nm. Seems like the material fatigue. Thankfully...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

correct you should not need using bearing press to insert bearings into zero stack headset cups, usually they fit without any resistance preloading the cap that hard may lead to pulling star nut indeed. using this much force should not be necessary and it won't solve this issue. this is a...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I use BESST. I have 48V system, which is originally 36V engine reprogrammed by SZZT to 48V firmware, so Go app will identify it as 36V using serial number and will update FW to 36V version. This will immediately cause engine error (too high battery voltage) requiring to manually flash 48V...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I do use 12 speed Shimano and as stated above, it takes time to setup and is fragile, ie. once tuned right, will detune fast. The region where downshifting and upshifting is perfect and there's no noticeable chain rubbing on bigger cogs is very narrow. I like having my drivetrain operating...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I like experimenting and I'm curious to try out the 9-50t cassettes and "mullet drivetrain" setups like SRAM RD/Shimano cassette (because have lots of Shimano cassettes and they are cheap). I guess not using dedicated SRAM cassette will likely wipe out many T-Type benefits?

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Hey, I've seen this question asked before but I can't find any answers: has anyone tried installing SRAM T-Type (Transmission) drivetrain on CEF50? Did you have any issues with installation, tuning? I'm not really happy with the way my cable-actuated Shimano HG+ drivetrain behaves, it seems...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

there is none, I investigated this area. many folks will tell that with good riding habits (decrease tension on pedals while shifting) none is needed in torque-sensing engine. the problem I see is that the engine shutoff isn't immediate after you stop pushing on pedals and there is a slight...

Non-ICR headset, internal frame cable guide conversion for the SZZS-specific CEF50

So eventually I finished my conversion by gluing both top and bottom assemblies into the headtube with Loctite 638. I couldn't find lots of resources covering use of cyanoacrylates with carbon fiber, except for one article by one Hambini, where he claims that glueing the bearing cups is now...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

probably they put BT antenna in the display so that it's not enclosed by the carbon on all sides. anyway, it's not like the carbon shell makes good quality faraday cage. first, graphite is not as good a conductor as metals, second, the fibers are sandwitched with resin which increases the...
