Did you happen to get the battery online somewhere? I cannot find a U.S. company that is selling it. This experience tells me to never buy an Orbea e-bike again. they don't support the U.S. and companies in Europe won't ship to U.S.

I’m confused. You said you took your bad battery out of your bike and put it into a friends bike and it started up. That means your battery was ok. Was that a typo?

Any update on this? My battery is either dead or the BMS is locked. Either way, I have to travel a distance to get a dealer to look at it. Btw. This is Shimano’s requirement. They must not think regular people can deal with these issues on their own. Just give us the trick to reset BMS so I know...

It shows no signs of life. Before dismantling the motor and removing the battery for inspection, I tried the spinning wheel trick. At first it started to power up and boot, but then died again. I was able to get it to show signs of life for about 2-3 wheel spins. Then it would not power up at all.

I ride a 2022 Orbea Rise M10. Suddenly won’t power on. Removed motor and battery. Battery will not charge. Charging light just blinks green always. Never turns red and then solid green. Is there a way to reset BMS on the Shimano / Orbea RS battery? @Greg Watts

I had the same error when I did it. After powering down and backup , it was fine. Not sure what the error was.

Orbea Rise M10 is my ride. Loving it. People say ebikes are "cheating". I call it riding handicap (as in golf) because my back pain is significant and makes it so that I cannot really keep up with most of my friends. With my Rise, I can keep up, and keep having fun.
