Are you still unable to get a replacement EP8 motor from Shimano US? I guess my Orbea rise H30 will be bound to the landfill if either the battery (Orbea specific) or the motor goes.

The part number I'm running on my bike is the W0154 (53mm chainline). The W0145 is supposed to be for a 50mm chainline. The W0154 ifor the 53mm chainline. Not sure what the W0164 ones are for? Might be for 55 mm chain line which would be wrong.

Orbea designed the bike with 53mm chainline in mind - there are OEM and aftermarket replacements available. Things get complicated when install's a spider that's not made for a 53mm chain line (more drivetrain noise). Don't mind me, I forgot to un-watch this year old thread.

Hose will work just fine, same amount of fluid will be displaced when the.lever is pressed. It's really just a bunch of BS from Shimano. Just make sure you are using the barb made for the BH59

Problem with carbon is the the attachment points for the linkages eventually delaminates over time from the carbon. Those fittings are usually just glued in place.
