Just saw a post on FB where a couple had posted pics of their bikes chained up while they ate. I know bikes thieves will steal anything given the chance including parts of they can't get the whole bike. So how prevalent has this become?
Shock wise this is obvious but with forks I'm seeing big geometries differences in reach and stack so it's not obvious whether your fork on your MTB will not have been cut down too short in order to move the parts over.
Obviously you should not drive an emtb through any water that immerses the engine. But I'm seeing people complaining about water getting in even from just washing them in small enough amounts to bring the engine life down of corrosion.
I've been told that there isn't a good system of getting motors worked on by Shimano and that you have to send it out and wait weeks to get it back, true?
So my LBS is a chain and I just happen to come across a policy for them not servicing ebikes you don't get from them. This was a bit of shock because no suck policy exists for regular bikes and they regularly do very small things for we at no cost like remove a stripped cranks dust cover.
