Any rumors of new batteries/motors on Shimano front?

Someone mentioned Shimano might be coming out with a more dense battery, that fits the same 630w form factor. Anyone heard something similar? Is Shimano a dead end system?

    Most durable 11spd chain? (Linkglide)

AFAIK, linkglide doesn't require a linkglide chain, and any 11 speed chain will work. Is there an advantage to using the lg500 chain? Shimano also make e 8000 ebike chain, and the hg901. Anyone had a chance to test and determine which is most durable of the 3?

Talk me out of a Yeti 160e

I've been eyeing the 160e for a while. It seems to have all I want. Full power. Geo is spot on. I want Garmin connection, so this rules out Bosch. No headset routing. Removable battery. They are on discount now. Only reason I can think off is that it is pretty old at this point. And can't...

Bosch bikes, how do you record your rides on Strava?

I was disappointed to see in this forum that Bosch systems do not play nicely with Garmin. Not showing data etc. This is quite a big turnoff for me, and its quite a shame with the new flock of G5 bikes coming out. I got quite used to the comfort of having all the data on my watch. With HPR50 it...

How long do your brake pads last?

    Pedal power meters on emtbs

Does it make sense to trust the power meter output of pedals to read rider output on emtbs? My understanding is that pedal based power meters depend on both the torque applied and the cadence. Cadence will be very different if it is assisted by a motor. Seems to me that only the engine can...

Hi all, joining with a Fuel EXe 9.7-ish

Hi All, Second year of mountain biking. First year of e-mountain biking. Took me some time to properly catch the bug. Riding mostly Enduro trails. Mostly reds. Still a LOT to learn. Recently picked up a Trek Fuel EXe. Originally 9.5. Got some parts from a 9.7, and some from the traded-in Fuel...
