Porsche are closing down E-bike division and Fazua

...times when turning the bike on. Annoying, but aside from that they've been great. I'm on an M2S bike now and made my eco mode match my Fazua trail mode. It was lacking a bit so punched up the torque to 80nm and it's the dream on my trails. I'll get 2-3 rides on a single charge of the...

...couple of time led went yellow blinking due to bad battery connection, but luckily(touching wood) my motor is still ok. I hope some other brands will make bracket retro fit with Fazua ride 60 motor in case I will be happy if any problem to swap the motor with more realiable one(Maxxon or TQ).

    🗞️ Greg's Weekly eMTB Briefing - 11 May 2026

...remind the industry who still runs the show — and given that Avinox is simultaneously spinning off from DJI, lobbying wars are heating up, and FAZUA has apparently been taken out back by Porsche, it's been quite a week for motor drama. Grab a coffee. There's a lot to unpack. 🔴 Bosch...

...set up Ascend components to supply spares. They made the calculation a decent market existed & seems they were right. May be the same here, if Fazua sold a million, it isn't much of a stretch for some entrepreneurial soul to have some Chinese factory knock out spares & make a few shekels out...

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

Hi Kalamalka -Interesting how we can become so absolute - I am prompted by the correspondent from Scotland who said he wouldn’t wish the Fazua on his worst enemy. I’ve had my Santa Cruz Heckler SL - with Fazua motor - for 5 months now, and absolutely love it. Although I have had a few minor...

    Avinox M2s rattle

That it's a PX is huge, as it's straight from the horse's mouth and Amflow will be forced to deal with this head-on. It will be a PR nightmare for them if they don't consider it a warranty issue, as the M2S has mechanic tech to specifically address motor rattle (i.e. mesh gear), whereas the M2...

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

Curved top tube is old fuel exe with TQ50. New fuel+ has straight top tube and better geometry than old one and has TQ60. Levo SL has slightly less power on paper but having ride these bikes side by side in same gearing and cadence and then swapped between riders, I can tell you there is nothing...

    Avinox M2s rattle

...feels like the first ride. I use it only for trails. Mostly a bit steeper and rocky. Most of the time with Low to medium Support (to match a Fazua or Bosch cx4) 25% full Power Rides. Im more on the faster side but not super aggressive. I dont break so much stuff as I did in the past when my...

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

...I love the bike it rides exactly like my acoustic enduro bike, it's light, nimble and with 160mm/160mm travel, it's perfect for the S2S. Now Fazua motors have a bad rep but I have 3000km on mine and it's been flawless, I had a couple of minor little issues that were very quickly handled under...

Porsche are closing down E-bike division and Fazua

"access to spares" isn't exactly the same as "warranty support". My worry would be that Porsche are used to the automotive model of just replacing things until it works again and make good profit on the parts in the process.

Porsche are closing down E-bike division and Fazua

Fazua customers and dealers will continue to have long-term access to spare parts and service. Further information will be announced shortly.” Maybe they are selling it. The article makes somewhat contradictory statements on the Fazua point.

...emtb I owned but was so unreliable I couldn’t trust it. Ruining a weekend destination biking trip was the last straw. Lbs was super helpful and fazua was very quick about sending motors. Santa Cruz stood behind the product too. They even pulled motor from production line for the first failure...

Porsche are closing down E-bike division and Fazua

I'm on my second season on an Ari Nebo with the Fazua ride 60. In my case, I almost never use the motor above a 120w (Breeze, 1 to 1) power level. So far, I'm happy with the system. It's quiet, with no rattle on descents. Hopefully, since I use it at such low power settings, it'll last. I'm in...

No, but they used them on a bunch of road/city bikes. Still going to cost them significant money.

...(unless they can modify to use TQ or Maxxon) and customers that are going to expect a whole new frame and alternate drive train if/when the Fazua has a problem. Could be very hard on Canyon coming straight after the battery issue that most have cost them a lot too. I think Porsche are really...

Trek Fuel EXe 9.8 — upgrade fork and TQ60 motor or put money toward new bike?

...fair point, and yes, I've already edited the original post above to correct the HPR60 wattage. The 350W figure belongs to the TQ HPR60, not the Fazua Ride 60. My mistake. As for the CPU comment - I prefer to think of it as a brief thermal throttling event. Clears itself up eventually. (And...
