    New 2025 Wild

Figured I'd just post my build in case anyone wanted to draw anything from it. I still believe that I made the best choice for my needs in spite of the fact that there is a new sleeker Wild being released very soon with the Avinox motor. 2026 Orbea Wild Carbon Fiber CX-R motor & 600 wh battery...

    My Trek Powerfly 4 (2020)

I'm in the Process of upgrading to a Gen 4 powerline cx. I know what your thinking it's not possible with my current frame, however. I managed to obtain a conversion kit from a current EMTB'R. I'll have the bike ready in about a week then I'll post some pics

    New 2025 Wild

I just installed the new Mezzer G2 LT fork. It clears the underside of the Large frame with no knock block needed. Probably about an extra 100 grams in nylon strap and sag indicator, but otherwise this is my Wild weight. I'll predict right now that the new Avinox versions are commonly going to...

Upgrade SRAM DB8 Brakes? Or install new brakes without swapping tubes?

I've swapped the levers for Shimano M6100, keep the same hoses but use Shimano barb and olive for the levers, mineral oil doesn't seem specific, I bled the levers using Magura mineral oil that I had from KTM motocross bike. This swap is without doubt the most powerful brake I have used.

    Maven/Dominion/V4

I have run a Shirgura break set (Shimano Saint Brake Levers/Magura MT7 calipers) on my last 5 bikes and thry are the perfect blend of modulation and stopping power. I use semi-metallic on the rear and composite on the front. If you are interested, I can provide more details on the set-up.

    Sram db8-Shimano levers

Apologies if this has been covered at length before... My Mondraker Crafty R came fitted with the ubiquitous Sram db8 brakeset, although a lot has been said regarding poor performance of said brakes, I found a change of pads made them ok, my main gripe was the levers, I've always had Shimano...

    Bed in brakes

There’s a number of factors to consider for proper braking especially at the calliper. Rotor installation, calliper alignment, brake pad material, contamination, excessive heat etc. For 6 bolt rotors; preload the rotation before torquing in an alternate pattern to 4nm with a small amount of...

Intend Trinity 2.0 (DH All Black) - First impressions

I’ve had various different brakes from Shimano and SRAM over the years. My old Stumpjumper still has SRAM Codes on it, which have always performed well. When I got my first Levo SL, its had SRAM G2 RSC brakes. I did a few rides with them before replacing them with Magura MT7’s. The G2’s felt...

Do you have any feedback from riding running an O-chain on a Bosch Gen 5 Race motor regarding how it effects the overrun feature due to the lag?

By chance do you know the insertion death for the dropper on the large wild? I've looked online but have been unable to locate it?

Trek Rail gen 5 - what model to go for?

So I'm looking at getting the new trek rail. C2W means my budgets limited to £5k which means I have the choice of 2 models, the rail 5 and the rail 8. Links to bikes below: https://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en_GB/bikes/mountain-bikes/electric-mountain-bikes/rail/rail-5-gen-5/p/48458/...

Levo SL Gen 1 Levo/Levo SL (gen1) TCU Dead/Unresponsive Solution Warning Tip

Put a new battery in but I don't think that was the issue, old battery still measuring at 2.9v. Cleaned pins of green connector with isopropyl alcohol last night and re-connected. Still turned on Ok this morning (12hours later) so maybe this is/was the issue, they did look a little dirty. I have...

Levo Gen 3 New brakes... What does everyone run?

Yes - but are they as beautiful as the Lewis? Plus I had a dealer source and install the brakes for only about $525 USD

Tidying up orbea rise m20 2023 cockpit.

Welcome to the forums. So I’m not the only one with this syndrome. I admit that I’m a little OCD when it comes to tidiness …but I don’t see dirt. That’s why the Wife and I get along so well. (She’s a nurse and cleans everything). A tidy cockpit was a priority when I got the Rail 9.7. I added...

    Mondraker Zendit Avinox

So today's ride was only 13 miles and primary goal was to get suspension dialed in for tomorrow's 25 mile ride at Daley Ranch that I do on a regular basis. Its a great ride with lots of technical climbing, some fireroads, flowy singletrack and mixed with some chunk and techy downhill. Had a...

Tidying up orbea rise m20 2023 cockpit.

Nice facilities you've got going on there. I also have accepted shoegate. The missus doesn't understand the concept of the understairs cupboard and that cupboards are to put stuff in.

Upgrading brakes on a 2023 Cube Reaction Hybrid

On my Canyon Spectral ON and Torque ON I had to lift the motor to get the hose through the frame. Both bikes had a heat shield around the hose. I did gut the hose on the brake lever site. Then mounted a Park Tool cable routing guide. Pulled the hose through the frame. Mounted the new brake...

Levo Gen 3 Magura mt7 upgrade

Great thread and thanks for the tips. I’ve just upgraded to the MT7s (transferred from the old bike). Installation was incredibly straight forward, I sprayed some silicone on the external part of the brake hose, and also into the frame routing and the brake hose just flew straight in and out. If...
