Amflow PL Carbon owners, check your seat tube for cracks!

It's normal in many industries to not support gray market sales. Supporting gray market sales undercuts the manufacturers' official sales channel. If there is no difference to the end customer whether they buy through the channel or on gray market, most of them will go for the cheaper option...

Amflow PL Carbon owners, check your seat tube for cracks!

One of the frames that broke was steel, one carbon, one titanium and one aluminum. I don't think that material alone will prevent breakage.

Amflow PL Carbon owners, check your seat tube for cracks!

Over my riding career I have had four frames break. All were replaced under warranty. None of the replacements arrived in less than a couple months. Large company, small company, didn't matter much. The pipeline for replacement frames is different than that for new frames or whole bikes. Kinda...

    AvinoxRide Update 📲 v1.4.0

It's two bolts to drop the motor. The software change could have made the detection algorithm more sensitive to the condition of the Y cable. If so, it's faster to swap the cable (assuming there's one available that will pass the check) than to wait for a software fix. Another explanation is...

    38t chainring on Amflow

The Sram is steel. The 38t part number I posted earlier in this thread fit my PL Carbon just fine. It's the 38t version of what came on the bike.

    38t chainring on Amflow

Interesting that mine did not. 29er mode, PL Carbon with shock from a regular PL. I'm pretty sure they are the same length.

    38t chainring on Amflow

I just bolted an Sram 38t to the existing carrier. It clears the frame with no issue. Part # 11.6218.057.002

New Amflow PX April 9 specs

I didn't think it was. I have built some light race bikes in the past but the Amflow is already pretty heavy. The carbon cranks also have a wider Q factor, and it's already wide due to the motor.

    List of aftermarket cranks?

Thanks! With the shipping it's still about the same price that Amflow quoted me before shipping, so I ordered some. I've used 175mm cranks on road and mountain for decades. The BB is really high on the Amflow already so I'm not too concerned about losing 10mm of pedal clearance. I'm used to...

    List of aftermarket cranks?

I have a set of Praxis aluminum cranks on my Pro, in 160mm to replace the 155s that it came with. They're fine. The stock cranks have really good heel clearance. Praxis does not have as much. I'm still waiting on Amflow to get some 165s in stock.

    Brakes for amflow

My PL Carbons' stock MT7s took forever to bed in. Now that they are they're pretty good. Not quite Maven gold level but totally ok, and less touchy.

    Amflow Pro Water Bottle

I solved this with a Wolf Tooth B-rad mounting base and a side entry cage. I mounted base as low as it will go without touching the frame. The base moves the cage down far enough to get a regular 20oz bottle in. I don't think a 24 will fit. My frame is a Large. The cage I used is a BRKURLEG...

    Q-factor on the Amflow?

These spindles use the ISIS interface. That has 1 degree tapered splines on the bottom bracket axle. The cranks need to fully bottom on the splines. Otherwise they will be loose and wear out as they move on the splines. Spacers would not only reduce the engagement with the splines but also make...
