1. Chain fell outboard
2. From memory the gap is fairly equal
3. Yes, Idler sits outside the chainring by a few mm, maybe 3.
Yes, I was very surprised to see the chain come off the idler, it just looks super secure. I dont suspect the idler being slightly off the 55mm chainline would effect...
Negative on the chainline misalignment, still out 2-3mm and I don’t think there is anything I can do about it. I have an inquiry in with the Aussie Teewing brand manager so will see what he comes back with.
In other news the chain dropped of the idler today and jammed itself up pretty good. Had...
Hey team,
Hows all your FLux going? We need some more pics!
Quick question, is Apple Find my supported by the hardware fitted to the Flux? I cant see it as an option on my app. I had assumed it was, and whilst it wasnt the reason I went the Avinox route, it was a feature I was looking forward...
I've got a Teewing Flux, thing is insane so far. I havent tried the other two, but the M2S motor is hilarious fun!
But for me it was a value decision and the fact the Teewing was available as a frameset.
Just wanted to make sure a) I hadnt f'd up or b) there is a slight compatibility issue with direct mount chainrings, in which case it might save other people some hassle :)
I can measure the pulleys chainline using the mudguard bolt holes to find the center, but I dont think its quite accurate...
Teewing state the chainline is 55mm, which mine is exactly to the chainring (from the center of the motor), but I dont think I can accurately measure the pulleys chainline measurement.
So, more on the slight chain misalignment, its definitely not the chain ring, its measures at exactly 55mm from the center of the motor.
Here you can just make out the chain shifting over to meet the idler, i'm guessing 2mm
Slightly out of ideas at this point, there really isnt any...
Hey team,
I'm pretty sure my idler is off about 1-3mm to the chainring, I am using a direct mount Helix R 8mm offset not the spider that was provided. I've pulled the idler back apart and re-installed it to no change, I’ve taken the chainring off and checked it is the 8mm offset for Avinox and...
If my dodgy measuring is accurate that puts the wheel base at 1320 as the reach from L to XL grows 25mm :)
At 6.3 I think the seated position is going to feel fairly cramped on a L, but these the breaks!
yeah, same as Australia, if you didn’t get on the first shipment of new M2S bikes there isn’t much hope in getting one any time soon.
Have a chat to drip bikes, you never know! good luck!
I just picked up a Teewing Flux in Australia, so far it’s blown me away, and it’s available as frameset so you can build it your own way. It was also awesome value compared to everything else I’ve seen.
I did all this for a new instal, not sure if the process is different if you have already been using your bike and have it paired etc.
there was also a large firmware update for the bike when I first paired it :)
The bike defaults to 32kph on each restart, you have to manually set it to 45kph...
Just do some googling on it, but I downloaded the Avinox app, then got a vpn on the phone and set it to hongkong, turned off my wifi, then paired the phone to the bike and hey presto, 32 and 45kph unlocked!
So first ride in the bag, I’d say it does exactly what it says on the tin. Smooth and supple rear suspension, motor is border line comical going up fire roads but still so sensitive and controlled when you need it to be. Also shocked how quiet the motor is, it’s crazy.
I’ve got a slight...
