    Avinox Reveals its Motor Gearbox

Unsure what it would cost to produce this type of motor compared to something like the M2S. If they were the same, then in theory could brands reduce pricing since you're not paying for a cassette & derailleur?

Want to verify my frame reach experience

Am also 5'10 and started MTB on bikes 440-455 reach with riser bars. While they can be fun and easy to maneuver, I eventually moved to 470-485 reach and find them much more comfortable, especially on steep descents. Given your BMX background, the shorter reach would definitely feel more...

Rob, any chance you'll be able to test a 600wh and 800wh back to back to feel the handling differences?

    Santa Cruz Vala

Have you ridden any bikes with a low mounted 600wh battery? The handing difference was so apparent for me that it's put me off buying an 800wh bike for now.

    Santa Cruz Vala

Disagree. After riding a 600wh model, the handling characteristics are much better than an 800wh battery. Unless you're doing huge 6hr+ rides the 600wh battery is great and you have the option of the range extender.

What's next for Marin and EMTB's?

I really like Marin as a brand but can't help but feel that these didn't quite hit the mark. Perhaps a 600wh removable battery would have been a wiser choice to not only keep the weight/price down a bit.

Might a TQ HPR90 announcement be imminent (June at Eurobike)?

While it's likely true, keep in mind this is the same guy who posted that DJI was buying Mondraker.

Levo Gen 4 Just got 600 Wh battery and wow!

I'm sold on lighter more compact batteries after demoing the druidE with a 600wh battery recently. Could definitely feel the difference compared to other bikes I've ridden with larger batteries that add more weight near the headtube. My next emtb will definitely be ~600wh with a range extender...

Less than 20kg full power E for my short AF wife.

Hi @Plummet I live in NZ and the bike you are describing is the Cannondale Moterra SL. It's 19.3kg in size small and meets all your requirements. Bonus that it's also on sale, and from personal experience rides well for what it is too.

Might a TQ HPR90 announcement be imminent (June at Eurobike)?

Anyone heard anything further confirming a power increase? A 90nm+ version would be perfect for me, retaining the same 580wh battery. Borrowed a DruidE with a 600wh battery this weekend and easily got 4+ hours of out it, so I'm sold on the smaller batteries to keep weight down.

    Other Breaking Chain's Rail+

Not sure if this will help but I had the previous rail and had a similar issue. In the end we found out it was related to the specific chainring they used in my region, which ended up being recalled. Didn't have any issues after that was replaced.
