    Trek rail bearing replacement

It's a bit of a brute force then really mate. On the rail once you remove the bolts there's nothing stopping the bearing coming out other than the friction between the surfaces. I go in from the opposite side and drift (smack) the opposing bearing out usually. YES it can feel pretty bloody brutal.

How are you lot washing your bikes without contaminating your pads and rotors?

Oxford Mint cleaner, foam whole bike, wash it off, never ever been an issue. I've used Stans bio cleaner, but only a couple of times, but non-issue with that either. I only do brake cleaner if for whatever reason i've got noisy brakes but that's pretty rare.

Can you get bike in the gap with a wheel off ? What about if the seat is laid down in a bed ? I assume it'd have to go on the front seat ?

you tried the ABP ? Either the 2 bearings back there or possibly even where the chainstay and seatstay meet. I've had that once or twice on Treks too.

Michelin DH22 vs Maxxis Assegai DH: Which Front Tyre Is Faster?

Problem with this is, the DH22 is a full on DH tyre and you're neither a full on DH rider, nor riding a DH track. So in truth, the answer was fairly obvious before you even began. I'm not sure what else you could have possibly expected.

WARNING - Do not pay AmFlow via direct bank transfer and expect a refund

Nah, don't really agree. Either your scenario or his could have easily gone completely the opposite way and you'd be here saying Santa Cruz are rubbish. It was just a circumstance of fate and miscommunication really. It'll get sorted i'm sure.

it's so so tough at the moment to pick riders... You can easily argue a case for about 10 males and any of them could not even get down

Really good that. I'm looking for a Bosch SX with 400wh in a few months time and this really helps.

In defence of them, that pivot not being greased/clean etc is pretty common on a LOT of bikes. It shouldn't be, it should be RIGHT, but that's the world in which we live. Even if it's right from the factory, it's the most abuse pivot point on bikes, so will need attention soon enough.

    EMTB prices are plummeting.

Not in the UK they're not. There's things like the Raymon which are discounted by a lot, but they were 12 months ago as well, some of the old HP50 Treks are, but again, they have been for a while. The rest are 10% off, 20% off... but there's nothign really being smashed in terms of pricing. Even...

I don't own an Eeb. My latest is a throwback to my previously owned bike. Trek Fuel ex9.8. I bought this last weekend after selling a Gen6 Fuel. It's lighter, faster and easier to pedal than the Gen6, but maybe not quite as capable downhill. p6pb29694690 by steveweeks59, on Flickr There's also...

BEcause it was never really 'free' ... it was sponsored covering the cost... which to the end user of course WAS free... but also, not quite. I think the theory was that the WBD money from subsciptions would trickle and come into the riders pockets etc... but that didn't/hasn't panned out i...

See that's where it's a tough one. It's never going to make standard terrestrial TV in the UK. So it's either bundled in with TNT/HBO, which can work as people may go through "live and upcoming" and find it. Or it's on RedBull, which no-one apart from a niche bunch of people would ever see...

    DH World Cup thread

I hear you there, it's weird as if you look at even XC, they've got a far 'better' setup than the DHers in terms of exposure, sponsors etc... but again a fair few of them come from the road/CX side of things too.

    DH World Cup thread

If you do a quick youtube for a CX race you'll see a bucket load of sponsor signs absolutely everyhwere. CX seems to get 50,000 for the Worlds for example with an average WC race getting 20,000+. A quick Google seems to show the actual fan numbers are not that different at WC events.. But...
