    New Geometry Compare Tool

Affirmative. Some manufacturer's list All Up Weight, so you have to deduct the bike from the number and other's list rider weight - rider plus gear, but the info's not easy to find and differs too. Take the Atherton, it has a rider weight of 120kg's now listed, but when I couldn't find the info...

    New Geometry Compare Tool

Rob, Actual Seat Angles please and, although not a geometry measurement, actual rider weight - not including the bike weight - would be really useful as the manufacturers list all up weight or rider weight, but it's often not very clear, or easy to find, on their websites.

    New Merida Lithos

The new Lithos has junked one of my pet hates of the four bar linkage design, which is the piddly seat/chain stay pivot. Those bearings barely last half a season of riding before seizing up and falling to bits when you try and remove them so, along with a great stack height for us taller riders...

2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

Same here. I cannot afford to buy or chop and change bikes at will, so I buy for the long term. It'll be interesting to compare how both bikes feel, back to back, once the Atherton arrives.

2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

I can't help but compare this to the Atherton, which has shorter chain-stay lengths (albeit with size specific for different frame sizes), but has a longer wheelbase and a front centre of 882mm in Size 12. With those figures, you'd say their FC/RC ratio would be even more skewed, but first ride...

    Mondraker Zendit Avinox

I would guess someone is putting more effort into their ride and someone else is letting the bike do the majority of the work... 🤣

Atherton S170.E Dyf-E bike coming soon...

It's not just the dropper length. I was also looking at the Crafty's, but their ST is 3cm longer in XL and my V1 Megatower is 4cm, running a 200mm dropper fully slammed, so I've asked for the 240mm on my order to compensate. I've waited years for emtb development, sizing and components to bring...

E-Bike/E-MTB's best bike on test so far this year! 🤓👏🥳🍾🍻🎈🎊

Paying on a bike you haven't recieved

I've ordered a bike and paid a chunk up front, but the company i'm buying from is reputable, but I've no worries if the worst happens as I used my credit card, so I get the buyer protection if anything goes wrong. Even if you're being sensible and spreading your payments because you can get 0%...

Greg - looking for full 29er eeb list for tall people

Cheers Greg, I was only using the examples listed from memory, so some of the newer models may have increased their weight capacities. As you've stated, many manufacturer's list all up weight, but some still list the maximum rider weight and the following examples are for their full power...

Greg - looking for full 29er eeb list for tall people

Don't forget, when rider's get taller, they also get heavier, so, many bikes - from Bulls, Haibike, Rotwild and Trek for example - have rider weight limits around 95kg's, which makes a bit of a mockery over them supplying XL bikes.

    Whyte Karve Evo

Also affected by rider height. If you're Danny MacAskill at 5'9" and 75kg, you'll have a way better CoG, balance point and power to weight ratio than someone that's 6'6" and 110kg. 😁

Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

If you're in the UK/EU, you'll likely get an email around 0200 in the morning and, by the time you've woken up six or so hours later, they'll all be gone.

Alloy frame bikes with avinox motor

You'd be correct in that statement and you would have to buy the Ultimate in order to get a similar level of spec to the Build 2 Atherton, so for the same money, the Propain gives you a perceived lower quality frame manufacturer that's a bit lardy and needs to add an XXL to its range in order to...

Alloy frame bikes with avinox motor

FYI Greg, Thank you for the post, I mis-quoted Orange's base price, as their entry model is listed at £8250.00. I've also copied/pasted from Atherton's website on the S.170E. 2 at £7999.00, as it states it has the M2S Avinox motor. When compared to the base model Phase, the Atherton has Hayes...

    Whyte Karve Evo

I read a UK review whereby the Kado was rated way better than the current Santa Cruz Bullit. 👍

Alloy frame bikes with avinox motor

The new YT Decoy's available in alloy and I also find myself having to pass comment on Orange's pricing. £8500k for a frame with a full specification downgrade, when compared to the Atherton at £8000k, seems a bit rich to me. Purely based on price, I'm glad I ordered the S.170E.😁

Atherton S170.E Dyf-E bike coming soon...

Rob might remember, but i've been sat on the fence for the last few years as I've been somewhat limited on bike choice due to being a 1.98m tall, bigger unit than average. 🤔 I'm still riding analogue, having an XXL Santa Cruz Megatower V1 and it's been the most comfortable and fastest bike -...

Specialized Levo R: We Rode It. Here's What You Need to Know

Hmmm... I've been pondering on the new Levo and my thoughts are; If the Levo and Levo R share the same main frame, is it not possible that Specialized have created the R in order to increase the choices as that would then clear the chunky frame stock, allowing them to bring forward the...

Atherton S170.E Dyf-E bike coming soon...

Yup, fine of you're 75kg's. How about some testing with a 105kg rider? If you haven't got one, I've got plenty of time to lend a hand... 😉
