    Other JUST DROPPED: All-new Slash+ e-MTB

Did you fix the cracking noise? I just picked up a brand new 2026 slash+ 9. 7 with the cable operated sram transmission 70. I went for the first ride and got a loud crack just popping off a small (6 inch high) lip. It definitely wasn't a bottom out noise, it was actually pretty similar to the...

Does anyone know how many tokens are inside the fox 38 170mm rhythm fork that comes standard on the slash+ 9.7?

I Have read that I should remove the plastic/rubber rim strip and replace with tubeless tape, so will be doing that.

I've got a 2026 slash+ 9.7 arriving soon to replace a trek fuel exe. I'm going to fit the following off the fuel exe -oneup carbon bars -magic mary radial tyre on front, haven't decided on a rear tyre yet, but probably big betty or maybe tacky chan. -hope tech 4 v4 brakes The rest I'm...

Other Slash+ with a 29 inch rear wheel

On the analogue slash, trek say the mudguard needs to be removed to fit the 29 inch wheel, but it seems that some people haven't needed to do this, so I guess it varies depending on the exact wheel/tyre combination. I'm still undecided whether to try it with a 29inch wheel.

Other Slash+ with a 29 inch rear wheel

Answering my own question here, but according to the Facebook slash+ page it is possible to use the 29 inch wheel lower shock mounts from the regular slash on the slash+

Other Slash+ with a 29 inch rear wheel

Has anyone changed to a 29inch rear wheel on their slash+? The analogue slash has the option of running 27.5 or 29 inch wheels by chnaging the lower shock mounts, but for the electric slash+ trek don't officially confirm it can be done, presumably because it would mean the motor cut out speed...

TQ HPR50 to HPR60 upgrade on a Fuel ex-e: Is it worth it?

I found that for the first couple of rides on the hpr60 my range (or autonomy as you put it) was about the same as the hpr50. But after that the range was approx 15% increased. I think if you go back to the beginning of this thread (or maybe there was another) you'll see my posts describing...

TQ HPR50 to HPR60 upgrade on a Fuel ex-e: Is it worth it?

Yep, I bought a new hpr60 motor to replace the broken hpr50 in my trek fuel exe and I initially just fitted the motor and tried to ride it without first plugging the dealer service tool in (I wanted to see if it would let me have 350w max power) , and it threw this error. Then I plugged the...

TQ HPR50 to HPR60 upgrade on a Fuel ex-e: Is it worth it?

You get this error if you try to use a brand new 'unactivated' motor. You need to use the dealer service tool to activate the motor, when you connect the dealer service tool to the new motor for the first time, it should ask you to enter the serial number of the bike that the motor is being...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

The motor requires that you 'activate' it using the dealer software, if you don't activate it then it doesn't work and just throws an error. When you activate it you need to enter the serial number of the bike it's going into, the software then does a lookup on a database that tq hold to find...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

You don't get the choice to use 350w max power when the motor is fitted to a bike that originally came with an hpr50 motor. The tq dealer software forces you to have a max of 300w

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

The exposed fins are removable, so I guess if they get substantially damaged you could just buy a new set and fit them. Difference wise, the extra 10nm torque is noticable, but the max power is the same as the hpr50 at 300w. The hpr60 motor is noticeably quieter than the hpr50, and it seems...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Yes I did this. You just need to cut a hole in the plastic motor cover large enough for the fins to fit through. You also need to modify the separate battery cover to shorten the two tabs that locate it into the motor cover. It's easy to do with a hot Stanley knife blade or hacksaw blade

I had an issue with my charging port, but in my case I didn't have any issues when charging, but when running on the range extender battery the motor would occasionally cut out. I could also reproduce the issue at will be wiggling the range extender plug at the charge port. I ended up buying a...

Anyone use Anti-Pedal Kickback Tech on EMTB?

Yeah the dt Swiss df hub 'resets' by the drag of the freehub. So you get the degrees of freedom set in the hub 0,10or 20 degrees, plus the random float in the ratchet teeth. I have a df hub set at 10degree, its decent, makes things feel a bit smoother/calmer. I wouldn't swap out a perfectly...

TQ HPR50 to HPR60 upgrade on a Fuel ex-e: Is it worth it?

Both the hpr60 motors (the first motor broke after 350 miles) I've used in my bike showed similar rider power to all the previous hpr50 motors, i have the various assist modes configured the same with the hpr60 as I used with the hpr50

TQ HPR50 to HPR60 upgrade on a Fuel ex-e: Is it worth it?

I'd do it again in the same circumstances,ie if I had a broken hpr50 motor then it's a no brainer to swap for an hpr60 for only £100 more than the cost of an hpr50. I wouldn't swap from a perfectly working hpr50 motor though, I'd wait for it to break first. What didn't work out as hoped? The...
