    Pic of the Day

Domestic appliances is it today? New elements for the oven for me. Surprisingly easy & a huge ball ache at the same time. Still electric stuff I suppose.

Well, I think that's it for me...

Yeah, how hard can it be? And this isn't an airport, you don't have to announce your departure.

    Authorities are waking up...

The law is vague on this. Makes you wonder why one of the industrial behemoths with deep pockets & a problem with DJI doesn't test it in court. I can think of a reason or two.

Anyone tried Solid lube bearings in a headset?

They're normal sealed cartridge bearings but packed with semi solid lube designed to resist water & dirt more than your average bearing. Never used them but I think it couldn't hurt. Any noticeable resistance in the bars would be something you get used to quickly. Also, internally routed...

How much did that cost when you bought it new?

14 years on the lam. I had a good run.

Given the option, I'd probably go for a bunk up on the kitchen counter than schlepping to Wickes to buy a padlock.

    DH World Cup thread

Also chuckling at this. Apparently our fault WBD don't meet this guy's exacting standards. So far today across three posts, you've called forum members liars, apathetic & gaslighting bullshitters. Is everything ok at home?

What did you buy your ebike this week?

It was the swing arm type. I chucked it & bought a Calvin special.

    Still chuckling at this.

    DH World Cup thread

Yep, on balance I think it's a good thing, forcing people to think on rather than just smash the Vali/Loic/Jackson buttons & the weekend showed us the talent range is out there.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Otoh I bought a Toopre chain checker & it told me a brand new chain was over 1.5 so swings & roundabouts.

    DH World Cup thread

Definitely raises the interest. Long way to go but if last season was all about could JG win five in a row, this year would be great if we get a wide open contest going to the wire.

What did you do to your EBike this week?

Rebuilt the leaking lever, now ready to go back on the bike for another 7000 miles. Definitely one of the more fiddly jobs I've done, refitting the lever spring took three you tube tutorials & two hours, most of which was spent looking for the spring.

Discounted Bike and parts Thread - cheap(er) ebikes & stuff

Another sad loss, Saddleback have gone into administration. They distributed Pivot & Cannondale in the UK. Buyer beware but there are some hefty discounts on their website right now. Edit - looks like everyone has been made redundant, probably best to avoid. Soz.

    DH World Cup thread

Yeah, they have to squeeze in two junior races, 15 elite women & 30 elite men plus podiums & the rest of the stage stuff. As much as anything else it's a logistics matter & in practice, overtakes are vanishingly rare. Fans know this. And no one misses the semi final eight hours of racing era.

    DH World Cup thread

Vali, Hattie & Amuary saved me this round, three of my team scored zero & Asa looks like he was lucky to have escaped without a serious injury. Second race in a row where the track itself was the main character.

    DH World Cup thread

Still no. 1 biatches. although @Weeksy is right up my chuff. Peeked at a couple of your teams & @VWsurfbum see me after for picking Tahnee who's been injured for like two weeks. 🤣
