Article Video: Teewing Flux 180mm, high-pivot, Avinox EMTB first look and ride

Darren at drip said his shipment has arrived at the port so shouldn't be too much longer.

SRAM T-type failure across all transmission type e-bikes

Thanks, didn't realize Santa Cruz sold those from the factory on their bikes. But based on what you said it was replaced by the shop regardless in your case.

2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

Yes of course Avinox was involved, the motor has a special customized cover on it with the “RS” logo molded in it too, they treat it like it’s a unique model motor.

SRAM T-type failure across all transmission type e-bikes

Actually, is OP had an e13 hub that presumably would have been installed after the fact, and improper torquing as the cause might explain why an aftermarket hub manufacturer like e13 would be seeing a lot of it because it might be something not many people torque correctly. Just a theory, but I...

SRAM T-type failure across all transmission type e-bikes

In the case of OP’s Santa Cruz bike, wouldn’t the cassette have come installed on the wheel already when his LBS got it, or is that part of the assembly the shop has to do? I figured they came mostly assembled and shop just did some basic assembly, but I’m not familiar with SC in particular.

2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

I agree, you wouldn’t go calling it a whole new “RS” motor if it the RS part just got removed from someone making a change in the app.

2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

Yeah the way they claimed it was “low level” changes directly in the firmware completely contradicts you being able to just turn it off with the user adjustable settings unless they differentiate user created modes from built in ones and change those settings where you can’t see/control them...

2027 Orbea Wild LT Released - Avinox Powered

TQ has the chance to become that 3rd big contender assuming Shimano has given up. If they make a full power or near full power (What used to be full power anyway) motor in the 90-100Nm range and can keep their small profile motor with a nice slim battery I honestly see them stealing a good chunk...

Do 12 speeds still make sense for full powered EMTB's?

I think 9-10 would be the sweet spot for any full powered bike. The 7sp DH setup is a little sparse on gears for most mixed riding, at least 1 or 2 larger cogs are needed for proper climbing, but something right in the middle of that and the current 12sp options would be ideal. My 52t 1st gear...

Rail (750Wh) Trek - New bikes this coming week

Funny, I was just thinking today that it seems like Trek is due for something. I’d be shocked if it was DJI, if the new TW motor rumor is true my money would be on that. If they do get something in the 90 range that should be interesting, possibly an SL size/weight motor with what used to be...

Avinox SRAM AXS Motor power Cable (M1/M2 Variants)

This is why the M2 motors have a second lead coming out that was specifically meant for things like droppers. I believe SRAM and Fox will both be coming out with models with support for the hard wired option.

Avinox SRAM AXS Motor power Cable (M1/M2 Variants)

Yes it is, ignore the bot. It just supplies power to the derailleur and the motor senses the current draw from a shift to know when you’re shifting and then cuts power briefly to allow the shift to take place, or if you’re coasting powers the motor so it can shift without pedaling.

    Orbea Wild Tune

The things they changed are things supposedly outside the controls you have in the app, stuff that’s more hard coded as a part of the firmware.

    Orbea Wild Tune

There’s no noticeable difference in efficiency lol, it’s a matter of the motor more aggressively putting out assist that just burns through battery quicker. No human rider test will be nearly accurate enough to measure any difference in efficiency on the scale of 1-2%.

    Orbea Wild Tune

What does rattling have to do with the RS tune?

    Orbea Wild Tune

Like @johnnystorm its supposedly just more responsive and aggressive at initial startup and very low cadence. The one fault Rob and Alex agreed on was a lack of low and lunch needed on climbs and initial starts and this modified tune supposedly helps with that.

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

They must be pulling insane amperage to get 130Nm but stay under 750W, I don’t get how they can have such high torque without exceeding 750W. Are they measuring that mechanically at the wheel as output power or electrically as Volts x Amps at the output of the battery/input to the motor? If it’s...

I don't think we can even buy it separately in the US either, although that may have changed.

    Orbea x Avinox Rumours

That's right in line with the 23kg estimate. It's got 10mm less fork travel and doesn't have a DH casing front tire, I assume no inserts in that weight either which many of the real world numbers have included. It seems somewhere around 23kg +/- 500g is the sweet spot for these longer travel DJI...
