Exactly - this is very valuable information for any E914, because E914 may easily pop up if you have a connection problem between battery and drive unit. And if the battery is not exactly in place, then one or more contact(s) may not fit properly to the counterpart connector inside the bike...

An E914 (E914100) and the very often related E201 (E201002) which will be created with the same timestamp is never due to the drive unit but mostly due to connection problems between battery and drive unit (see also here). Maybe this video will help:

E201 and E914 mostly happen at the same time (also in your case) and the reason mostly is due to contact problems, see e.g. down below where a very similar situation is shown with 6 digit error codes in the Windows based E-Tube-Project-Professional software. Both errors also (like in your case)...

E914 is always a clear indication that there is a contact problem between battery and drive unit. This mostly is due to a contact problem (bent, dirty or corroded contact) at the connector from the battery to the receptacle inside the frame. Always take extreme care when detaching and attaching...
