    Avinox M2

I shredded a chain today, in the correct gear, on my Fazua 60. I don't see how these new motors can run any drive train besides a Linkglide. The power is insane. Sram really needs to design Transmission to have a really strong 9 or 10 gear version with first gear having around a 44-46t.

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

Looks like the Fuels are now quite a long lead time (late summer), except for the EX version. Definitely don’t want to wait that long! This is awesome intel! How come you got both the SL/AM and regulator? Any you prefer?

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

...miles between them, and have never heard the rattle of the earlier versions of the Bosch SX. The sound of the motor is very similar to the Fazua 60. It is more noticeable than TQ HPR 60, but when I demo'ed a Yeti MTe back-to-back with a SL/AM, the TQ was markedly underpowered compared to...

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

Hows the downtube on the SL/AM. I can’t test that one and its quite a bit mote expensive. I feel its maybe a bit more like the yeti? Hows that noise on the Bosch, seen some very strong opinions on that.

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

Appreciate the confirmation of Fazua, but I think you may have misread my post! I absolutely do NOT want full power, I want to suffer a bit on the uphills. I sold my Rise as I didn’t like it (had the 85nm option).

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

...40-41 lb (with pedals). You'll save about 10 lb if you don't need the extra torque of the Bosch CX of the Shuttle LT or the Regulator CX. The Regulator SX replaced a Heckler SL, which rode well, but the Fazua proved unreliable. Try the Shuttle SL/AM for full 29", vs the Regulator SX for mixed.

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

...with the Maxon Air S start hitting the floors, you get full fat power at SL weights. One of the brands using it has a full enduro build that comes in at 18kg in a size medium. After owning a Fazua bike and having friends that have bought Fazua bikes I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy😂🤣

Do you ride a medium? Mind adding some pictures?

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

These are all really great bikes on your list. Can't really go wrong (except the Fazua motor). It will be down to personal preference for you. I have a Fuel+ MX build, tad over 20kg with pedals. Love it! I previously test rode a Heckler SL for a day. The Fazua motor was nice but the TQ is...

    Lightweight bike for lighter rider?

...would bring it closer to the others with duties and taxes. Plus warranty would be a hassle. I love the Heckler but really quite worried about Fazua… and it seems quite old tech/unreliable. But dealers for all these bikes are near. Did I forget options?! Any real life comparisons/similar...

Any rumours of new SL bikes?

...The Yeti SL is a very similar bike and has the same motor. Propain Shresh SL comes with the smaller battery option claimed under 19kg. Sorry but don't know if any other new bikes on the way. I also test rode the Heckler SL but the Fazua motor reliability issues were a deal breaker.

Shimano ebikes now an option for DIY

I am in the middle of an X1 swap on a M620 frame. For the adapter bracket i designed my own, and had some metal 3d printed. This is the first metal bracket.

Shuttle SL Fazua motor failure - concerned about long-term viability

...around and can confirm: The Transition Relay is very much alive and current, a lightweight mixed-wheel eMTB with 160/170mm travel running the Fazua Ride 60. You'd know that better than most, given you're riding one out in Vancouver. Santa Cruz still has the Heckler SL with the Fazua Ride 60...

Shuttle SL Fazua motor failure - concerned about long-term viability

Im not sure that all the brands have stepped away from Fazua, as of right now- Transition, Santa Cruz and Pivot all have update bikes as of today

...of material to do that. I have talked with someone about possibly designing short brackets for the x1 pro so it could fit into the original motor compartment and offer it as kit but thats on the back burner for now, I have Bosch gen4, bafang m620, fazua ride 60 and specialized next on the list.

Shuttle SL Fazua motor failure - concerned about long-term viability

@TheKaiser, you've essentially nailed the existential question that's been hovering over Fazua since the acquisition. Let me dig into what's actually on the record. Porsche acquired Fazua in 2022 and initially ran them as a semi-independent subsidiary under Porsche eBike Performance GmbH. The...

Shuttle SL Fazua motor failure - concerned about long-term viability

Porsche bought Fazua but then started developing their own Porsche branded e-bike motors. They built a new factory to make them, hired a bunch of people, etc...so it seemed like they might have purchased Fazua more for the expertise that came with it, but it was rumored they would de-prioritize...

Shuttle SL Fazua motor failure - concerned about long-term viability

Honest answer: I don't have verified data on when Firmware Bundle 13 (or whatever comes next) is scheduled. Fazua aren't exactly known for publishing roadmaps, and they've been quiet on timelines since Bundle 12 dropped in June 2025. Given your history tracking this stuff closely, @ehfour...

Shuttle SL Fazua motor failure - concerned about long-term viability

Given your history with the Decoy SN, @ehfour, you'll want the full picture on this. The short version: Fazua aren't dead, but they've had a bruising few years and the roadmap is more iterative than revolutionary. The reliability issues with early production batches were well-documented and...
