What is that, a carbon wrap? I would be concerned that with void any warranty issues as could be altering the thermal properties of the battery?

Been running them for a year on the Reign taking all sorts of abuse and they are 100%. Crank failure is rare to non-existent unless they are made of carbon.

That looks like a terrible clamping option! A lot of stress going through that shock.

Just had a new frame (cracked in the usual place), warranty was outstanding, no questions asked. Lucky to have an excellent Giant store nearby.

I was told the filler/weld area has been beefed up. Hard to belief they would not modify things in light of the failures.

Mine just started showing signs of cracking after 18 months. New frame on the way in a few weeks.

Think mine might be on the way out after 1.5 years. Going into Giant on Wednesday to be looked at. With the various cracking issues has anyone ever seen or heard of the frame breaking at that location. I haven't.

Also dented the rear after a couple of spins. Tried an insert but was such hassle when I had to deal with tear in the tyre that I binned it, and now just run downhill Assegais which are seriously strong.

These are made of carbon, they are black, bar shaped and cost €150. Immediately noticeable improvement in comfort, hands less sore after long descents. Highly recommended. The end.

I have 2.4 front and rear, they are plenty wide.

Has anyone installed a Cane Creek Viscoset to their Reign? MBR ran one and said it was a great upgrade which made the steering less 'skittish'. Would be interested to hear owner experiences and also which size headset is required?

Keep an eye on your shock pressures, my X2 leaks (like a lot of them) so you start getting the inevitable pedal strikes.

Oh I agree, but if you are like me and always bring the battery in doors for charging, the Giant style removable cover is so much quicker and easier.
