A day on Dartmoor

There are some great places to ride here in Cornwall.

Well I bit the bullet and went for an Öhlins coil shock. First ride today and I’m chuffed with the feel of the bike on the back end. So now to decide what to do with the Zeb up front. 😬

I remember watching Rob’s video some time ago but couldn’t find it again. I have also done a search on here, just looking for a bit of reassurance as this is not a cheep upgrade. 😬

I have been talking to TF Tuned today about options for service and upgrade. They are not the biggest fans of the shock and offer no upgrade options to it. They said that if I want an upgrade they recommend the Öhlins coil. I haven’t ridden a coil before so is it worth the cost of the upgrade...

That’s a great video and really puts some numbers to facts. A static 25kg on the post is much less than a 90kg rider hitting a bump out on the trails when sat down. 🤙🏼

I have tried this but if i want to tip the bike up I am left with the same issue where either the bike slips through the clamp or one end oother the other drops 👍🏼

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I love messing about with this sort of thing so at least if I get thing wrong I can get it back with shockwiz. Interestingly I rode this morning and found out the rear shock was too soft.
