I have a 9.7, and mainly because I got it on a great sale. There's no way I'd get a 9.5 and ride it as such, it's just too low spec, which is why I think they are dealing more on those than others. No opinion on the Orbea, though, but looks like a fun bike.
Called a local dealer, they had one in the box, and it was on sale/clearance, so I bit the bullet. It's my first carbon bike, and first e-bike. Been riding MTB for 25+ years though, so not new to the sport.
Have the H2S rotors already, but unless they bed in really nice, I'll probably swap over to XT brakes next year sometime. I've run XT's on all my bikes for the last 15 years.
I was on the fence for a while myself, then a deal popped up and I'm glad I did. I can still get in a solid workout, but don't feel completely gassed/knackered at the end of it, and can enjoy the scenery more. I also an fresher for the descents.
New owner of a just built 9.7 (Mulsanne blue with carbon bar and code r brakes). Any big issues that you guys have had with your Fuels? Had a rear caliper rub, and a headset creak taken care of in the first 'anytime in the first 30 days' service.
Just picked up a Trek Fuel Ex-e 9.7 for a pretty good price from Trek Ft Collins. So far I've hit up Maryland Mountain with it. It certainly made the trip(s) to the top of the hill much more bearable/enjoyable. So far no issues with the 'e' portion of the bike, just a bit of a headset click and...
