Any experience of those bike @Tubby G , & as the guy is past retirement age, so no cycle to work option unfortunately.

    What decent hardtail emtb options?

Just been asked for a recommendation for a (£2K-3K if poss the lower end) hardtail for a friend, he had a heart attack last year, so is feeling the need to back off, though still wants to get out, but isn't doing anything too technical nowadays. I simply never look at hardtails emtb, so am...

Big guy, which motor might be best?

Big guy here, gone from a 19 Ali Levo with 5k all year round off-road miles, to a 22 Ali Levo. As I’m happy with their performance, excellent handling & real world reliability. No fan boi, as I’d never had a spesch previously, just great bikes.

Topeak Hexus, keep it simple. Just secure an extra chain link onto any of your handle bar cables.

    What are the bags? (make/models)

Most discreet way of carrying tools and tubes on your bike?

Limited to ppl running dual clamp... Watching the mud yutters on YT, I noticed one of the guys (sans back pack) carries a pump and tool bag of some sort in front of his headstock, though he is riding a Kenovo with dual clamps, looks like a nice simple/clean setup (nasty screen shot, but you get...

My 2016 Levo motor could be dead beyond repair :-( BUT could I convert the frame into a standard non ebike ?

It’s worth approaching specialized about a motor replacement under their Assisted Replacement if the worst comes to the worst, as they ’cover’ the motor for 5 years. You won’t get a free replacement but they should be able to supply a motor. Seen someone post that they got a new motor & battery...

Full suspension XXL bike for a 6'7" Rider - I want a Santa Cruz Heckler 29" but they're 10+ weeks out..

they do the S6 in all models of the turbo levo (availability might be your issue), only the basic model has the 500wh battery & it is removable. the battery is held in by just one bolt, disconnect the battery connector & it slides out the bottom of the top tube

E-bike availability.. whats your (current) experience

I bought my last bike way back at the end of '19 and they were discounting them, in preparation for the new '20 model I'm now interested in replacing it and though there does seem to be stock (Spesch Levo), there's seemingly bugger all chance of a discount (well until the new ones are launched...

    Bike Work Stand Recommendations

www.fjmcustombikestands.com (seems a BB with a hole thru it) No their not pennys, but when did any good come cheap? I've had a Mk2 for since Dec '19 and it the one of the best things I've bought for my ebike. Wash the bike without leaning it up against the wall, oil the chain in 30 seconds...

Replacing an E8000 with an EP8 Motor

and lots of ppl saying you get no warranty on these ebay motors, so your better off going back to Shimano and at least getting a warranty.

Levo motor replacement using more battery?

Nope not had that. A group of us all bought Levo's at the same time, and have had new motors at different times, we all ride together regularly and not noticed any change in battery usage between them. What we do find is that some motors seem to be more powerful* then others, and my more run in...

2020 Rockshox Lyrik 150mm 2.0 rct 2 Select Plus Lower leg Service.

Not personally but it's not unknown for this to happen. I know ppl don't like paying more, but TF Tuned strip and check to everything they sell, seems worthwhile, when you hear of cases like this.

    E-bike flood?

@urastus dude you'd never get to ride here* if you only rode in the dry (warm). E-bikes, for making winter bearable! * excluding this years (abnormal) long hot summer

£160 to wrap a new bike? Waste of cash or??

I had a nice carbon frame bike done in 2014, still looks as good today with it's invisiframe protection. Had a Vitus E-sommet and couldn't wait to ride it, so did... the paint work was scuffed to shit in a month, & I regretted not getting it done. My Levo was done from new and this what I'll do...

Article Testing the new Shimano EP8 motor

@KeithR I didn't say they weren't.. I suggested Shimano could do themselves a huge favour by being less corp douchbags and more customer friendly. A rolling 2 year warranty from Bosch is not to be sneezed at, nor Spesh's choice to stand behind their customers, and they receive great feedback...

Article Testing the new Shimano EP8 motor

Your telling me, they couldn't sell a wiring harness too? .. but as I noted and Rob has again confirmed, shimano are a faceless corp who couldn't care less @remosito I'd disagree, I'd buy bike from "bobs bikes" if I knew I could definitely upgrade the motor later, and you'd buy with the...

Article Testing the new Shimano EP8 motor

Shimano are missing a trick if they don't offer it as upgrade, that's one option to update your old bike would make them a lots of friends (potential customers) & a healthy dose of kudos which they are lacking. ps: I know.. they don't care and won't offer it..
