Im definitely not a strong peddler, your results may very.
I do know, having a 900 on big days is a great piece of mind.
I think 1800m out of a 720 is a lot to ask..I guess it depends on your fitness level and riding in lower power modes. I'd recommend the 900 and not worry about battery anxiety.
I don't get that much with my 900 in a Norco range VLT, but I'm in boost 90% of the time.

I’m in the process of doing this. The internal wiring was a total bitch. I had to strip the outer rubber housing off the cable for it to fit through the narrow internal wiring/cable tunnels located in the lower down tube.

i did change the tires and add cushcore to the rear. I found the Assegai’s had more rolling resistance than the Schwalbe’s.
This is my 6th Ebike, my last being a Trek Rail. I sure miss that Bosch motor, it would absolutely destroy this EP8.
