    Levo Gen 3 Knocking noise

Hey guys just got a 2023 Levo expert and it has a loud knocking noise when going over rough chunky terrain, similar noise to that of the Shimano ep8. Anyone come across this before I take it to the shop to be checked out. Cheers

Levo Gen 3 Official Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

Just picked up a 2023 expert, can’t wait to get out on it. Setting base suspension settings on the x2 I noticed that the when I turn the HSC clockwise with the 6mm the adjuster comes out further as if its a left hand thread. Anyone with a 2023 X2 confirm this. The fox setup guide was way of the...

Shimano BT-E8035 Integrated Battery Issue: very fast degrading and loss of range

Christ almighty alright, I would love to solve the problem but unfortunately above my pay grade. Don’t see why it should be up to consumers to fix a Shimano problem. Especially when its only with 1 model of battery as well. Buying a battery every year shouldn’t even be on the cards

Not true in many cases, here in Aus we are limited to 25kph and many use stun locker to apply the US limit of 32kph so not outside of manufacturer settings at all.

Shimano BT-E8035 Integrated Battery Issue: very fast degrading and loss of range

Why would they do that, yeah I know they are trying to force everyone to buy their new stuff but a bit of support for original would be nice. It might even keep people on their product.

Shimano BT-E8035 Integrated Battery Issue: very fast degrading and loss of range

Can anyone confirm that Shitmano have released a new 504wh battery with different cells and bms. I’ve had enough of this bullshit battery rode yesterday 32km almost all eco 750 ish elevation and was in the red with 3km range left. Merida E160 9000 with e8000 motor nearing 5000km, love the bike...

    Shimano 2nd Generation Batteries

So another reason to ditch shimano, no backwards compatibility. They obviously know their 1st gen bt-8035 has issues but they continue to ignore it.

    New Merida

Noticed Merida have come out with a new 160 and 140 bike which look bloody awesome. I wonder if they will come out with new ebike frames based on the same design. I'm hoping so as I'm due an upgrade

Shimano BT-E8035 Integrated Battery Issue: very fast degrading and loss of range

So how do norco and others that use shimano motors but other manufacturers batteries get around this. Also noticed that merida have a bike with a simple 750w battery which is interesting.

Shimano BT-E8035 Integrated Battery Issue: very fast degrading and loss of range

So is the BMS located in the battery? If so I'm wondering if it would be possible to use internals from say a norco battery which are not shimano and put in the bt-8035 case. Only theorising here as I have no idea if this would be possible.

Check the 2 large pins at the connection of battery to motor, I had the same symptoms and found one of the pins had pushed/ vibrated down a bit. Pulled it back up and away it went. Hope it helps
