Have you found anyone selling the DP C245 Ver 3? The Aliexpress ads for the C245 which mention Go+ in their ad are not Ver 3 and hence do not support Go+. How do i know this? I bought one.
Agreed - hareware seems quite good. i did at 16 miler yesterday in the Colorado Rockies. I mostly do the uphills in Eco mode because I am also looking to get a good workout- once tired I’ll go to Trail mode. The M510 is very strong - if I have a nice pedaling cadence (85+) its very smooth and...
Assuming any of the bikes would make you happy, if you are going with a local bike shop, i would think the lbs with the best service would win out. if you travel with your bike , as I do , the brand with the most widespread support might win out. Seems like that might give the Trek bike a could...
Bafang has 2 manuals online for the DPC245: one supporting Bluetooth 5.0 and woks with the Go app, and one that supports Bluetooth 5.1 and works with the Go+ app. The later being referred to as Version 3.
I can’t find any Bafang displays that are Bluetooth 5.1 !! Anyone with thoughts on that?
i just received one of these programming cables - literally today (sep7, 2023). Couldn’t figure out how to use it with DP C245 Ver 2 display, so plugged a more basic display.
Was able to switch from 15mph to 37mph (yah 37!!). Of course it comes with no instructions and the videos i could find...
I don’t actually dislike the motor. But i am interested in making some modifications to fix a couple of issues. You have had success with modifications? What did you do and how did you go about doing it? Also is your bike a custom build?
Is it just me, or are other forum members frustrated with the “overall Bafang M510 experience”. I did a custom built last year and the only source of information was this forum. Basically I was getting input from other “pioneers” who, like me, were figuring it out by step by step - by trial and...
I just sent this to Green Bike:
I have an m510 with a FC 1.0 Controller. I am experienced on/off power when pedaling. It was suggested to me that I need to upgrade the controller to the FC 2.0. Will this controller be compatible with the motor and the Torque Sensor?
Here is their answer:
No...
Now I’m totally frustrated. I have an m510 with FC 1.0 controller. I am experiencing on/off when pedaling. Purchasing an FC 2.0 controller was recommended as the solution . This thread indicates it won’t be compatible with the Torque Sensor. So …. Is the FC 2.0 installation a solution OR NOT????
Did you change your controller? If so, was the process reasonably smooth? Greenbike has the controller on their website - the “wording” says it’s the controller for “the FC 2.0 motor” - wording is a bit off , so wanting to make sure I am understanding you correctly ….
Did you ever come up with a solution to the on/off issue? I am experiencing same thing.
Also, I upgraded my display to the DP C245.CAN so I could connect via Bluetooth using the Bafang Go app ( not the Go+). It connected fine but doesn’t really seem to do very much. I then installed the Go+...
I just downloaded Besst Pro for Mac. It seemed to install ok and I have the Besst Pro icon showing just fine. When I double click it does nothing …. Are you suggesting Python for Mac needs to be installed also ??? That is referenced nowhere in the Bafang Besst Pro manual.
I just heard back from Anna at [email protected] - they are selling me the longer cable to solve the speed sensor cable length issue. She said they don't have a charging port suitable for this battery. Where did you get you connector? Is there a "proper" partnumber for it? Thanks for the...
The connector cable coming from the display is very short (20cm in length). The cable coming from the motor has a green connector that needs to pass through the "cable frame plug (plastic grommet)". The frame plug is intended for two cables and has separate cable holes. The green connector...
Slaine, I am currently building a LCES004 with the Bafang M510 also. My 3 issues:
1) the rear wheel speed sensor cable that came with the motor is so short that the "connector" is in the middle of the chainstay so, I am having to buy a speed sensor with a longer cable.
2) the display has a...
