Hi, i don't have the SX 2019 with internal battery.
I have a 2019 meta power 27 race with external battery...i guess you can ride this without battery, because the battery is not a structural piece of the frame so no difference in stifness.
The bikes with the internal battery...i don't know...does the battery help with the structure of the frame??? i don't think so, but not sure.
