Having a dard time deciding between Santa Cruz bullit and new orbea wild lt

Right my priorities in order highest to lowest -

1. Handling (including seat post insertion, needs to be lots)
2. Weight (handling really)
3. Faff free ownership
4. Drive system is my lowest priority

Will be my bike for day to day and bike park visits (dyfi, dirt farm etc) where I'm hitting the biggest jumps, drops and most severe DH tracks.

Reviews of the bullit tend to trend to say how well the bullit handles, obviously no worthy reviews yet of the wild lt, it's too new. Sounds like the bullit ticks my highest priority.

I think on weight, they're pretty equivalent, realising both bikes at similar battery capacities are going to be within 0.5kg of each other.

Santa Cruz/Bosch has to wing in terms of reliability and support, right?

Then there's the ebike system, 750w peak is more than enough for me, I think I'm happy with a 600Wh internal battery with 80% of my rides, I'm on 480Wh fazua at the moment, I only ever feel I need a touch more support, can chuck on the range extender for the minority of my rides. The Bosch gen 5 has the least resistance pedalling with the motor off right? So would feel best if I felt the need to remove the battery for uplift days? Which drive feels smoothest, quietest and has the greatest efficiency?

Sounds like the bullit is the one to pick, right?

good answer.... bullit with his 600 internal should be better in term of pure handling...
wild is a lot newer project
 
Had a wild, replaced with bullit. The bullit is leagues ahead. A genuine replacement for a normal bike. The smaller battery I was concerned about, but didn’t need to, modern generation means lots more range for smaller battery. My wild was the first gen of the new shape however, but the bullit is so good I can’t see it being close. Happy to answer anything specific you might have

Kind of an open question and hard to narrow down.

I guess with my preference of handling, what was lacking on the wild which the bullit improved upon? To narrow in on handling preference further, I'm an active rider, I like to pump, pull for gaps and play, how do the two compare on these characteristics? Anything about the bullit you're not sure on?

Be interesting to know your height and size you're riding.

How about suspension feel? I like support and predictability, happy to compromise a touch on "plushness".
 
i rode large on both, an im 5-11 85kg. The Orbea was on full coil front and back, as is the bullit. I rode the Wild on air and it was ok but i felt got overwhelmed easily on the really heavy bumpy stuff. IVe not ridden the Bullit on air. I like plush and magic carpet, ride steeper technical and not bike park stuff so maybe not the best comparison if you ride that. The Wild was a great bike, but still felt like an ebike down things, was heavy, needed more physical input on corners etc etc. The Bullit i barely feel the difference from ebike to non now and often i prefer the ebike. The Bullit for same for same setup/spec is a lot lighter for me, the Wild was a tank compared (which is weird as i hear a lot of people saying Wild is light) In terms of jumping and popping, yes suspension can make a big difference but i think lighter weight is a really big influencer. Probs loads of things ive not answered well, so keep asking!

What model year Wild are we talking about? I don't think it helps the OP to compare a 3 or 4 year Wild, which has now gone through 2 separate iterations since then (2025, and now 2027). I have a 2025 Wild, and it's fantastic, but there are lots of fantastic bikes to choose from. The Bullit is another fantastic bike. I would say the Wild is a better all rounder while the Bullit is better for downhill. You really cannot go wrong with either bike.

Wild had the 750wh battery it sounds like? Otherwise, these bikes are darn near identical.
 
I'd pick santa cruz just for the warranty side + bosch is a bonus over Avinox.
Orbea has been sketchy to say the least when it comes to their warranty.
