I found this video amusing:-

Funny how someone can think themselves qualified to pronounce on bikes, experienced riding big alpine routes and come to our little hills and struggle so much. Never broken a derailleur? One day on Win Hill sorts that out. Didn't even look like they rode the difficult stuff. Good to see the "walk a mile in someone elses shoes" maxim in practice.

All along that ridge is footpaths only.
So? Only reason there are footpaths there at all is because people trespassed illegally. Peak National Park are never going to grant access through lobbying so the historic precedent of peaceful mass trespass is totally legitimate in my book.
