Orbea Rise owners. I am replacing the EW-SD50 cable that connects the motor to the handlebar screen. Brake cable goes through the same hole in the head tube. Brake cable is fine. I don't need to replace it, but it appears I am required to because the routing hole is not large enough to feed just the SD50 cable through it. Did Orbea seriously not think about the possibility that you would need to replace these cables that frequently fail? If anyone has any suggestions other than cutting my brake line and re-connecting and bleeding it, I would sincerely appreciate your ideas. Thank you.

I had to change this cable. And yes you do need to cut the end off the brake hose to get the cable gland off in order to thread the new cable through first. Maker sure you have a new olive and barb before starting. It's a right pita job. I also ended up dropping forks and removing battery to make job easier. Good luck.
