It seems like the Pinion MGU story is coming to an end. Pinion GmbH has been acquired by Schwarz Group. The MGU e-bike motor will be phased out in favor of retail conveyor systems. This shift is indicated by Avinox MG and Gobao X1P gaining traction.

That’s weird, it worked 15 minutes ago for me, but it’s definitely dead now. Maybe it was all some AI trash like someone else said. The conveyor belt image of the groceries looks AI generated.

Google seems to suggest it's a load of b/s.
 
To me it looks like a bad attempt at a joke at Pinion's expense due to the news from Avinox/Gobao as they are unlikely to be able to compete with them.
 
The post is not "real", that part is very obvious but the underlying message makes a lot of sense......
 
It's also shenanigans in relation to its content: Pinion's motor know how has not been developed in-house, but been licensed from some robotic arms (?) motor manufacturer as I was once explained at Eurobike. Why should someone (Lidl) who was interested in a motor design buy a licensee company just to kill it off and keep only those parts that are cheaper to get alone in the first place?

My original intent was to poke fun at the Avinox fanboys. I fed the OP's article to Gemini and ChatGPT, with instructions to make it about BRP acquiring Avinox. The results were far better than expected.
